Hello appoccosaver! Oops, I mean katyliz! Nice to see u again... I'd wondered how your move went? We also did eventually move too... Yay! :j
Judith, tenby looks lovely! Happy birthday to your son too
beg, I often don't answer the landline... It's only ever call centers or my mother!:o (well, not her lately but I'm not thinking about that). I do usually feel guilty for stitching though:(Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I frequently ignore the landline (anyone of any importance usually phones my mobile) and have sometimes told OH that I am having some 'me time' so for the next hour he can see to the kids and not let them diturb me - that's usually after I have cooked Sunday dinner lolCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Why?
I never feel guilty for stitching. I am busy enough the rest of my life that when I do sit down it's nice to do something creative instead of just 'wasting' time watching tv doing nothing. If we are stitching we are still technically working lol - someone's got to sort out those christmas presents!! l:DCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. 23rdspiral - that's great that you got moved, I can remember you were waiting a long time for that. Are you all settled in? Our move went well, it's lovely living village life
Judellie - love the stitching, Tenby looks fab!
I'm with the rest of you on the landline thing. If it rings and my mum's number doesn't come up I don't answer it as it's always a sales call. I usually stitch when the kids are at school or in bed as trying to do it when they're around never works out well!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

we avoid completly........ don't plug a phone in!! if a number doesn't come up on my mobile i recognise voicemail can pick it up.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
number 68 here checking in! Tried to upload my recent photos on here earlier, but have changed computer and it didnt recognise my memory stick. will have to wait for hubby to come and look-he's more technical thanme.
To my shame, i did loads of stitching in marc/april/may, and havent done any since then!! Think the end of term madness, coupled with the school hols (4 kids at home=exhausted me), is too blame. So im determined to pick up my threads and start in ernest again.
I took advantage of the 3 issue for £3 offers recently and got some nice x stitch mags (must remember to cancel those before real payment kicks in) with some nice christmas bits that i want to do. But i also have 2 outstanding ufo's....my twins are 4 shortly and i have 2 birth samplers ive no started:o-well i got the threads sorted 4 years ago and that was it!! So i must start one of those also!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -

Thank you. We're just about settled in, well we are mentally. It's lovely! And life just flows better. We're still in our little market town but in a nicer spot, not right on the a14 anymore. How about u?
Physically, theres still lots of boxes, we need more furniture, but we did get a fab 2nd hand sofa a couple of weeks ago!
EEK, got to go... Off to Corby woodland project to help with the autumn coppice and get logs for our fireRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. I know i still have a long way to go but i am very pleased i have completed my first little project - a birthday card for MIL. I must say i am hooked! Until i buy a larger project i have sent DH to WHSmiths to buy me a cross stitch mag which comes with a little freebie kit inside! I just can't wait, my hands are itching!

Welcome to the thread Ami82 & all the other newbies!
I stitched this little kit a while back as a mother's day card for my Mum, but I did mine a little different.....
No new stitchy news from me!
I'm gonna put in an order for some threads soon though as I want to stitch this for my Aunt & Uncle, and to get the threads ready for the Dalek Victory chart too
In other news, on friday it was the fundraiser for the baby neonatal unit at St. James' in Leeds, in memory of my brother, and though I couldn't make it, Mum is gonna send me pics too.
My friend Claire who organised it all did a great job and raised an amazing total of £685. Which is great going for a tiny village pub!
There was also a band on, who kindly donated their £200 fee to the pot! Which was super kind of them!
There was a BBQ from 5pm, and Claire's husband didn't stop cooking until 2am, so quite a bit of money was raised from that, and the rest was from the raffle, where I won a Man U hoodie :T
I donated a handmade bracelet, and from that I have had an order for 4, so more money for the pot there too!13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13
May Misson: Complete 20 Stock Cards - 23 of 20 - DONE! :T
Read all Unread Books: 20 / 47  - oops bought 8 more books, 25p each though!
