Hi guys...another oldie here..been keeping upto date with the thread but haven't had anything interesting to say! Some lovely work been completed recently xx
I wanted to ask you all something ...have any of you done xstitching for charity and sold the items on ebay?
I watched something on the news about the rhino's the other day and i was in floods of tears, the story was about the increase in poaching and the pictures were very graffic ...but this got me thinking, i have loads of cover kits that I simply wont get round to stitching unless I have someone to give them too which is very seldom but i could make them up and sell them on ebay and give the proceeds to save the rhino...obviously wont be a lot but i suppose every little helps.
what's your thoughts ladies?0 -
Can I join you all here please:D
My freind introduced me to cross stitch about 10 years ago and it has been a hobby of mine since. I do go through stages of not picking up my needle for a few weeks sometimes but it sits on my table by my sofa always ready when i do get the urge.
My latest project is the Purity Pagan Fairy (DMC). A friend of mine had got it as she wanted to give cross stitch a go but was put off when she saw what it entailed so i am doing it for her. It is full of shades of purple and grey and uses alot of the speciality threads which can be a bit frustrationg at times but i am almost half way through and it is beautiful.
I will try and get a photo up soon.
I don't know many people (if any now) who actually cross stitch so it is usually just me stitching away on my lonesome:( being able to chat with some fellow stitchers whould be great and motivating.Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

I got some stitching done today whilst watching MotoGP. Must admit I have got much more done these past 2 weeks than I thought I was going to what with hubby being here so some progress should be seen when I do my fortnightly update pic tomorrow :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
