If there's a maximum number that a customer can buy it needs to be displayed.
Store staff need to be polite, there is a lot of competition out there.
No it doesn't - maybe it should but it doesn't have to.
Store staff should be polite but often aren't, competition is more based on value than the etiquette of the employees. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I think the answer here is shopping online, you can buy as many offers as you wish (which is as it should be) without the slightest frown or moralistic sneer from your mouse.
This is not the case - online shopping has limits on almost all products, not just special offers (these are usually 10-12 for individual items - obviously don't include things like grapes) and if you try to add too many to your shopping basket it will remove them and add a note saying what the maximum is for that item.0 -

The reason I submitted this post was to put in the public domain ,rightly or wrongly what I experienced whilst spending good money at Tesco. This was not seeking advice, nor a complaint nor a rant, this was just something that happened to me whilst i was shopping, no big deal.
Now I, as well as most people, know that Tesco couldnt give a toss about me or any other shoppers.
Therefore if I succeed in putting it in the public domain and get as many people to read it as possible, then they can keep any form of apology and maybe if this falls on the right person, and i know it has, then Tesco some staff maybe retrained in customer relations.
Now some post were sincere some just stupid. come on who cares about how many Jammie dodgers and why so many Jammie Dodgers.
"Tesco have the right to serve me or not" I bet there aint too many not, you fool.
The issue is about good customer relations, making day to day life as easy as possible for us mere mortals. Why I mentioned a battery charger was to highlight the fact that Tesco took good money of me for an overexpensive item and didnt blink an eyelid, but when I prevail of an offer they get nasty.
I thought this one was obvious.
But to end this thread thanks for the site allowing so many people to view this post, I have achieved what I wanted.
Thankyou.0 -
I have had no problem with specials. They currently have Ocean Spray juice on B2G2F. I take a sealed 12 pack off the top shelf twice a week, once with the weekly shop and again when I go for a top up. They also have 2pk rubber gloves, washing up sponges and cleaning cloths at 14p a pack. Bought loads the other day no questions / comments made. Looks like op has a store staffed by !!!!!!!!s.0
