    Morning all:j:j

Alls well here, I had my MIR scan on tuesday. It was at the New QE in birmingham. It was my first time going there As iv always been to the old QE in the past. I must say that they have done a real nice job on the place! Just hope the service that people get will be upto the same high standard. Iv got to see my consustant at the start of october. Now this scan was the scan that i should of had at the start of July! But iv got there in the end. I think im seeing my consutant at the old QE as i dont think he has moved over yet.

The chickens are doing really well! we have had 15 eggs as of an hour ago since last saturday! Took one out this morning when i got up. Still stime for another one today.
We only have the three hens so 15 in my book is really good!

The twins are doing great and growing really well. I shall be putting so more upto date photos on facebook soon.

Just off to the local town center today to pick a few things up. Co-op and Aldi i think. Im not sure but the farmers market might be on too today.

Well i hope that you all have a great day.

    Enjoy yourselfs everyone:j:j

    Hello to one and all
Read this post often but never contributed.
Damp and grey and miserable here........and that's just me :).
Had so much rain the last week the poor garden is awash and the cats are developing webbed feet. Been up since 5 as OH goes out to work at 3.30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Have sorted the freezer, planned next weeks meals, done 2 lots washing and changed the bed. Cats not impressed when I had to shift them to take the bedding off. Keep peering balefully at me and tutting..............can cats tut? Anyway just wanted to say hello and wish everyone a good day .

    P

I'm about to print out THIS and highlight the bit that says:
Daily rest - a break between working days

If you are an adult worker you have the right to a break of at least 11 hours between working days. This means as an adult worker, if you finish work at 8.00 pm on Monday you should not start work until 7.00 am on Tuesday.

Hopefully that'll be enough. If not, she'll have to get something in writing (from CAB?).

It's a shame because she really loves the job. The boss is usually great too so I'm hoping he's just got his information wrong and will put things right when he realises.

Unless you have voluntarily (or otherwise) agreed to opt out of the EU working time directive. Nurses and midwives work and early/ late pattern whereby I used to work to 10.15 pm (or later) and go in for 7.15am in the interest of patient continuity but it was a killer. Also work without a break for 24 hours as I always got called out at night. Anyway it did for my health so if you can put a stop to it that would be good but its not the law as such but a directive?

I been back to sleep and full of beans now so ready to start my day again xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning all!
Am now officially scunnered by the rain, please go away!!!!!
Picked up my new car yesterday, I love it and am hoping I get pleasantly surprised with the fuel economy next week when I am back at work. Today will be food shopping, going to buy a drill bit for OH to put new kitchen blind up and probably ironing, ironing, ironing, basket has taken over the floor and WM number 3 is currently spinning away. Hope your day is more exciting than mine!!!

    Morning All

It was raining when I got up this morning but the sun is peeking through now, so I think that I will risk a machine load.
I couldn't be asked to stand and cook last night especially as my knee was still painful, so we treated ourselves to a chippy - we haven't had a takeaway in a long long long time.
Trouble is that we lost the telly zapper for the kitchen telly last night too and I think it got wrapped up in the chippy paper and thrown in the bin because we were watching Dr Who on BBC3 and I must have used it to change the channel. DH is out going through the wheelie bin as we speak ooops.:o

Molly DS is saying he won't pass his A levels either - I will be glad when the results our out next week. DH will still be on holiday so he is taking him up to the school.

DD came in totally wrecked last night at 1.30am and promptly broke a glass so I had to clean that up before I got to bed, thank goodness our neighbours are on holiday.

Happy Birthday Elona smiley-greet002.gif have a great day.

DH has just come in from looking in the bin and says it isn't in there.

"The wall came out and bashed my leg again Granny"was his frequent wail this week. But like all little boys he will learn .I may have to get him some shin pads from his brother for awhile though.Right I am off to sort out the pile of stuff on the dining room table Have a great day everyone
    Cheers JackieO xx
  • Morning all......thank heavens it has stopped raining here, on Thursday the water in the Tyne was up almost to the arches on the road bridge in the town. Had it continued raining over night the resulting flood would have been worse than the 1948 flood. The town flooded to a depth of 8 foot then. There is a building in Sidegate which has a mark on it which shows the level of each flood the town has suffered.

The brewery at the side of the river were reinforcing the wall to try and stop the brewery flooding........not that it would have done much, the rate the water was travelling. OH went round yesterday morning and they were trying to clear debris from the stantions of the bridge which was impeding the flow of water. A huge tree trunk was wedged between the two main arches, they were trying to turn it so it would float through.

We had a slight shower early on but its cleared and we have blue sky again.

Nothing planned for today, I have a gammon joint to cook for tomorrow, I;ll cook it and slice it, take enough for supper tomorrow and freeze the rest in portions.

We seem to have spent a lot of money this month, I am going to have to screw down to basics, we have booked a couple of nights in York in early October, I need to squirrel away some dosh from our food bill so we can eat out for a couple of nights, Managed to get a travel lodge at £15 a night.....but refuse to eat in the little chefs. I take breakfast with us in the shape of instant porridge and currant tea cakes. We will find somewhere to have a decent lunch and then have cuppa soup and a sandwich for supper. I have a cool box which plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car, its left over from our caravanning days, very useful it has an adapter so I can plug in at the lodge as well.

Right need to go and get a coffee.........
