I will try anything wear shampoos my scalp is concerned. Unfortunately it isnt just a sensitivity it is a kind of dermatitis (possibly what was mentioned earlier?). I'm quite lucky because my brother gets it all over his face whenever he goes somewhere with different water! His face literally falls off.
Does anybody else have curlyish hair? I'm just wondering what tips people have for bouncy ringlety curls as opposed to frizz?Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Hmmm, not having much luck with the Asda homebrand serum . Infact I'm not really having a very good hair day altogether . Infact I'm not really having a very good hair day altogether :(. I have shoulder length coloured hair. It has some natural curl but an awful lot more natural frizz! I have a fringe cut in which i have already decided to grow out. I just can't seem to make it go right!! I washed it this morning so routine went: :(. I have shoulder length coloured hair. It has some natural curl but an awful lot more natural frizz! I have a fringe cut in which i have already decided to grow out. I just can't seem to make it go right!! I washed it this morning so routine went:
 wash and condition
 towel dry and comb through
add in curl cream (Charles Worthington I think)
 dry fringe using brush
scrunch/twist dry the rest using the brush to smooth down the top layer
tease through some serum, twisting as I go
It looks ok first thing but within ooh, minutes? it looks, well fluffy. And sometimes a bit greasy to. And the temptation is to add more serum but then it will just look more greasy. Stamp stamp stamp! What should I do?!
Hmmm. I'm going out for a drink with my very recent ex. I'm feeling miserable and frumpy. I need a pick me up! A pretty dress is not doing the trick...Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

I would give it a hot oil treatment Ruby, I think my hair gets sick of all the treaments I put on it and just throws a strop and won't be have it. In these holidays I have literally just left it to dry and it is much better shape. Trouble is turning up for work with wet hair is never a good look so not practical.
Hot oil might sort of strip it if you see what I mean and then condition it?
(bet there is a home made version as well!)

Buffy, I will try that. My stepmum swears by giving up conditioning.
I was looking at myself in a pub mirror earlier, frizzy hair and all and thought, yeah, its frizzy but I still look like I've made an effort. Perhaps only I can see the frizzy? Wouldn't it be nice to see yourself through the eyes other people see you through? Bet it would be less critical...Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

You're right Ruby - we are often just far too critical of ourselves. A bit of TLC and not setting ourselves impossible standards. Those fake doctored pictures of models and celebs - airbrushed to within an inch of their lives just feeds our insecurities.
Anyway you've started well - just keep going.

I always keep old jeans for crafting but haven't actually got any projects in mind. Any ideas? I made some boy bunting a while back but with Christmas coming up need some ideas!!
I revisited an old make up look yesterday, plain black lash with a thick line of blue eyeliner. This used to be my look back in the day (I sound so old!). I'm kind of ambivalent about it. Although I love wearing strong bright colours I think I could do with a bit of a shake up with the make up! Hmmm, perhaps I will head over to YouTube for a little bit of a look. But after I've had a bit more beauty sleep zzzzzz Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73 zzzzzz Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Old jeans- well I could only think of things like cushions, shopping bags ..the mundane stuff but I googled "uses for old jeans" and here are some of the sites:

I quite fancy the strips to be knitted or crotcheted but think it would be tough on the hands!! It would certainly make a tough fabricBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
