My daughter has a scalp problem, seborrheic dermatitis. Her scalp gets flakey and scabby. She uses body shop anti dandruff shampoo and conditioner which keep it at bay. Someone once told me about it and she has used it ever since. Prob four years now. She sometimes alternates with other shampoos but if she stops using it all together her scalp plays up again.

Thank you both of you. I will keep that in mind. I haven't shopped at Body Shop for years, ever since they were bought out by L'oreal who are owned by Nestle who I have boycotted since I was 16. Just realised as I'm writing that I'm actually using a L'oreal shampoo so that argument falls down a little! :o I guess the problem for me is that the Body Shop is a company that was built up on its ethics so the sale to a company that Anita Roddick boycotted herself stuck in the throat a little. Perhaps I should let bygones be bygones?! :p

I'm in need of some beauty butt kicking. Perhaps I should start by getting out of bed?!

    Hi Ruby,

have you tried rubbing a bit of vaseline on the earrings? (on the backs and the bit that go through your ear) that often works for me as I have the same issue-

am enjoying reading your updates! bit jealous of your boudoir- that's what I am aiming for once the wardrobes are up and the room a bit more sorted!

This is an excellent thread *subscribes*...........

I'm also on Frump to Fab (mainly just lurking because it all moves so quickly!) but it's great for motivation.

I decluttered my wardrobe last month but could still do with getting rid of more stuff. I might put your bag system into place!

Having a really poor month so currently trying to use up all my old shampoo and conditioners and now realising why they are leftover - because they make my hair feel yuck! Still needs must....

    Keep on posting :)

Consider your butt gently kicked. :rotfl:

I'm just off for a soak in the bath and some serious beautifying.

Thank you Mrs Woolfe, gonna try the vaseline trick as I love wearing earrings, particularly on a hair up day like today!

polesalot - I have the same issue with leftovers (also have a stash of samples and freebies for end of month emergencies). Could you use the leftover conditioners to give yourself a home treatment? Wash your hair (I find it helps to brush it before you wash - that way less tangles when you wet comb), then when it comes to the conditioning stage slather on loads of conditioner, wrap your head in cling film and a toasty warm towel then leave for half an hour before rinsing. When it comes to the rinse cycle, rinse thoroughly in warm water then give it a blast with water as cold as you dare! This stimulates the hair follicles or something and gives your hair a lovely shine!! Failing that I use old conditioner instead of shaving foam - much better for my sensitive legs and old shampoo makes a great handwash for stockings :):)

Made it out of bed, bathed, quiffed, corsaged, mascared and eyelined, lips balmed and tinted and ready to go! Ruby?! Go!

Hi Ruby, I'm really enjoying this thread!

Have you tried Faith in Nature shampoos? They contain no SLS/SLES so are really gentle on the scalp. They're about £4 a bottle but you get points which equates to money off!

Another little tip for you all, take your hair about 1n5inches above your ears and backcomb just the roots, spray with hairspray and put in rollers all the way around your head, leave in for around 30-45 minutes then blast with your hairdryer on cold- gives the hair fantastic volume
