Cheaper Beauty Products?

I've tried all sorts, from expensive decleor and dermalogica, right to cheap Simple. I find the best thing to remove makeup is Ponds Cold Cream. I use it like Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish- smooth it on to dry skin and wipe off with a hot wet flannel. It removes all makeup and doesn't make me break out, despite my spotty oily skin. Its also £3.99 a jar, although is often on sale at 2 for £5 and you can sometimes get it for £1 in pound shops.
Have a read of some reviews here

Also, people rave about Liz Earle products being all natural, but they still contain mineral oil, which Ponds does.0 -
Remember reading an article about Nikki Chapman (she judged Pop Idol- Blonde girl -late 30s- lovely complexion).
She said that she had used Diprobase all her life
Its about £4/£5 for a tube in most chemists :T0 -
If you're going for Liz Earle stuff they sell their seconds on ebay. All legit and the only thing wrong with them is a big S on the bottle. Works for me and I've got the grumpiest most combination and spotty tendencies in the world!!0

I've just started using Dr Hauschka products, and they are absolutely fab, natural and not tested on animals. They advocate not using moisturiser at night as this upsets the skins acid mantle and clogs the pores, it took my skin a full two weeks to regulate itself but now it is looking better than it has in years, also you need to remember that it takes 28 days for the skin to renew itself so you need to use a product for this long before deciding if it is any good for you. The products cost about as much as Clinique but you use very little of them so should last a long time.

I have very dry, scaly skin on my face. The only moisturiser that stopped me from looking like 'lizard woman' was Olays Intensive Nourishing Cream. When they stopped making it I tried lots of things and in the end I put a post on here. One person suggested trying Liz Earle products. I looked at their website and then phoned them. They were great. Said if I bought a product that I didn't like they would refund the money.
I got the relevant moisturiser and it works like a charm. My skin looks much better, smoother and clearer than it ever was using the Olay prooduct. One pot lasts me more than 2 months using it morning and night. Their website makes it easy to choose the relevant product for your skin. It is also possible to buy tester sizes.

I cannot recommend them too highly. They are helpful and if you are not sure give them a ring.0 -
A tad of hemp or olive oil warmed between clean hands rubbed into perfectly clean skin. Cheap & works as well as many of the expensive brands including the famous one with the cleanser to be scrubbed of with a hot muslin coth as MATH mentions on page 1.
Hemp is the best choice, but try it for a couple of weeks for your skin to get used to it before dimissing it.
Ps be warned only a very tiny quantity is required.0
