The white lumps are just a build up of sebum under the skin, you will need to squeeze these to get rid of them unfortunately and you'll need an awful lot of pressure to do it. Remember to cleanse your face thoroughly afterwards and use a toner to close the pores and put some anti-bac cream on them.
You say you have sensitive skin, have you tried Lush Dream Cream, it's a bit pricey for us tightwatds but a little goes a very long way and it's even been used successfully on children with excema.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Oooh, just be careful about squeezing things around your eyes, you don't want to do any harm to the sensitive skin in that area.0

Thanks Moggins!! I'll give it a try!
Oh, I've just realised you need to use moisturizer first, but it's actually an eye moisturizer I'm looking for.0 -
I've never used a moisturiser with it, it seems to do both jobs anyway so I think that would be a waste of money.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

tinalives - I've just got some Boots fragrance free eye cream, it's a clear tube with a royal blue lid(base) and says 'vitamin enriched for radiant skin' on it. It claims to be suitable for skins that are sensitive to perfume which is why I bought it. Lo and behold ! It is ! I usually find that eye shadows, mascaras, cleansers, moisturisers etc make my eyes sting but this stuff doesn't. It's only £1.29 too :j Hasten to Boots all ye money savers !0

nicki wrote:Okay ladies I have a question along these lines as well.
I used to use the Oxi-blackout strips (you painted on this stuff that was like nail varnish, waited for it to dry, applied a stip of "paper" and pulled) for cleaning out blackheads on my nose and chin (very oily at times) but I can't get it anywhere now. The only ones I've seen similar are too expensive.
At the end of the month (29th) I've got an engagement party to go to and I want to make a real effort as I've just lost a stone in weight and can finally get into some nice clothes. I've even started doing sit-ups and ab crunches (30 last night just waiting for OH to come out of the bathroom) I would really like to have clear skin but have a nose and chin full of black heads. I currently use "Clean & Clear Sensitive Cleanser" and then Asdas own "Vitamin E moisturiser". Is there anything I can do to clear these blackheads out without me breaking out into spots?
Not a cream recommendation, but ever since I started taking Evening Primrose Oil Capsules, my skin has been really clear. I ran out a few weeks ago, and haven't been able to buy anymore, and I'm all spotty again.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

nicki wrote:I get flaky skin on the sides of my nose which seems to go when I use "Nivea Face Cream" so during the winter or when I go to my in-laws (right on the coast and my skin dries out very fast in the strong winds which the area is known for) I use that. Usually I use Asdas own Vitamin E moisturiser for all skin types, could it be that I need to change it?
I need to be careful as I can have very sensitive skin sometimes so I tend to stick to what I know doesn't cause me a problem.
While I remember, any idea how to remove what looks like a whitehead (no head though) from an eyelid? I have three in a row which appeared after I used a cream based eyeshadow and I haven't been able to get rid of them. So much for Clinque make-up being good, I broke out in a rash as soon as I applied it
I had this problem and my sister told me to very gently scrape away at the skin above the white lump with a sterilised pin or needle then pop the little hard lump out. It sounds worse than it is - you are only breaking the top few layers of skin I think and it is a lot easier than squeezing it out - the lumps are surprisingly hard and large, not like a black or whitehead which is more liquid. Then as said before, make sure you clean it thoroughly. It worked for me anyway. Mine was just below my eye.
On a separate note, does anyone worry about parabens in all these creams??! Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't (depending on how wrinkly I feel of a morning...)0 -
best skincare i have used is Liz Earle range, skin repair is the best mosturiser and if you buy "clease and polish" cleanser you'll also rec the muslim cloth. Us care get it from liz earle online or QVC also stock it. It can be slightly more expensive than other ranges but it worked for me after i tried countless other brands. Other thing i have used in the past is pore minamiser from clinque range. Good luck hope you find something 2 suit you.
ps the liz earle range is natural products.0 -
I would suggest you stop buying products and go to a Dermalogica salon. They'll do a skin analysis and advise on what products would be best. They will NOT try to sell you things you don't need and their skincare routines are pretty basic.
The products are quite expensive but they last for ages and you can get them cheaper online (plus with cashback/points, etc. if you're into that). You can also buy miniature versions which still last for a couple of weeks at least to try them out.

Looks very interesting but - yet again - it appears to be one of those companies that seem to have places in the south (London and Surrey) so not very accessible for us poor neglected northerners.
I wonder if they perhaps have franchises within good quality department stores in other areas. Their website doesn't mention anything like that though - only Leatherhead, Surrey and Dublin.0
