M+Co are having a clearance sale and Debenhams have got some great dresses in, just got 1 for myself, for a wedding, a couple of days ago ( £90 reduced to £30 ish). On the grabbit board think someone said Debenhams are doing B1G1F in sale stuff too but only in-store.Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend...

I used to wear a vest top under my top, so I could pull down the bra and vest top, lift my actual top and discreetly breastfeed - it didnt spoil my outfit as people couldnt see the vest top and it made feeding a lot easier, maybe you could try this? x0

I had a wedding to go to a few weeks ago and I am breast feeding too.
I found it really difficult to find anything suitable for feeding in. My MSE advice would be to go with the !!!!!! star dress (I assume its easy to access boobs from by what you have said) and then make it more demure with a matching shawl, pasmina type thing. That way you also have a good cover-up for discrete feeding too.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
TK Maxx definitely is worth a try. I've bought dresses there for the last two weddings I've been to and they were each about £30 which seemed pretty reasonable to me. And dress up/dress downish so I have got more wear out of them. They also do stuff that's fitted at the waist but more generous above and below which suits my figure. No guarantees with it but it really is worth a look.
I sympathise though, dressing for weddings is a nightmare at the best of times, never mind if you're BF.
Oh and just to add don't wear the !!!!!! star dress, or if you do, put a little black sleeveless vest under it. Or you'll spend the whole day pulling at yourself and being uncomfortable. I wore something to a wedding once having lost weight (obvously a yay) but what it did was make the top of the dress a bit loose and I felt like I didn't know where to put myself all day...0 -
i'd go for nice skirt, pretty vest top and a little shrug cardigan. New look had some lovely ones recently, with a mock corsage sewn on.0

As a veteran breastfeeder (two years and counting) I like to think I might be able to help here

I have found that using breastfeeding vests (those with drop down layers on top of a layer with holes in, mine are from Emma Jane) under cardigans and dresses has been a lifesaver. I lived in them for the first year or so.
I especially like them worn under a wrap dress (you can wear a bra beneath as well) as you can pull the wrap aside then open the vest and there is minimum exposure. I have lots of wrap tops and dresses from before DD, so I've been able to use those.
You can get proper breastfeeding dresses from some fab sites online, but they are not cheap (although well worth it IMO).
Another thing you can do is wear a dress you have to pull totally down off one boob, and wear a pretty scarf (or have one in your bag) to use as a cover-up.
I went to a wedding recently and knew my 2yo DD would want to feed at some point. I wore an old Topshop dress with a deep wrap front (it's pretty much backless except from some straps) and that was great, I just pulled it aside and got DD to put her hand on the exposed flesh but then I am no longer bothered about feeding in public! Her head is so big now you can;t see anything.
I woudl definitely see if you can get a wrap front dress ot top though, as you can wear something underneath (or not) and they work really well.
If you don;t want to wear a vest under, then look for crop tops/stretchy beandeaus to wear over your bra, you can pull that up to cover the top of your boob, the dress or top will cover the rest (and baby). I got mine from New Look in black, white and turquoise and they are really useful.
Hope that helps.
