I have to go to a wedding next weekend, and have nothing to wear!!!
Actually, I have 4 lovely dresses, but since having a baby 9 months ago, my body has shrunk and my boobs have grown, so 1 won't do up, one makes me look like a !!!!!! star with my boobs almost falling out, and the other two would make it impossible to breastfeed without lifting the dress above the boobs, so really not suitable!
I really don't have a lot of money to spend, perhaps £20.
Could someone suggest where I could buy a dress (would need to try it on, so highstreet shops) that fits a 34DD bust, 25" waist, that will allow me to breastfeed?
Or... I do have a couple of very pretty skirts, so where could I buy a pretty black top from?
Help! At least I tried my dresses on before hand rather than finding this out the day before!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Tesco and Sainsburys do some very nice plain black tshirts (circle, boat neck and v neck) for £5-8 ish. Marks and Spencer do similar, usually reasonable prices, maybe £120

Sorry can't help, but the images in my mind did make me laugh.Actually, I have 4 lovely dresses, but since having a baby 9 months ago, my body has shrunk and my boobs have grown, so 1 won't do up, one makes me look like a !!!!!! star with my boobs almost falling out, and the other two would make it impossible to breastfeed without lifting the dress above the boobs, so really not suitable!
On another note, try wearing the pornstar dress for your OH one night as a surprise, I think he would enjoy it. Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

            lol thanks Lotus!
I'm actually quite upset about the boob thing, as I liked my C cup boobs, and liked my wardrobe. I divided all my tops into 3 piles - those that don't fit (no stretch in them), those that make me look like a !!!!!! star (stretchy, will fit, but boobs almost falling out), and those that fit nicely (very few which are suitable for breastfeeding!).
 Sigh.
I just want something pretty, feminine, practical, without looking like Jordan.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

Well alot of people spend alot of money to look the way you do, so I wouldn't complain too much
Besides it probably won't last forever, make the most of it while you have it. Just look upon it as a temporary enhancement.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

Do you have a TK Maxx near you? They often have nice dresses in at a reasonable price. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I have a similar problem trying to get dress to fit as I have an hourglass figure so anything that fits on the top and hips is massive on the waist. Just to make things worse I am tall too so dresses are always too, too short and the bit that is supposed to be the waist is up around my boobs.
I now always wear a skirt and top as it is the only way to get things to fit. You should be able to get a nice top for £20. Just remember try the top on before buying because with larger boobs you will still be falling out of anything scoop neck and even some v-necks will be too low cut. I too can do the !!!!!! star look if I am not careful.0

My OH has the same problem tbh, but we had a day out last week buying her clothes and walking round town it wasn't really a problem to find some nice tops. We had to go in a few shops and she had to try loads of things on. But it's very doable.Spider_In_The_Bath wrote: »I have a similar problem trying to get dress to fit as I have an hourglass figure so anything that fits on the top and hips is massive on the waist. I'm the same!
5'11", but most my height is body length, so tops are often short on me, and some dresses just look silly!
There's a TK Maxx in Oxford, and I need to go there anyway, so will call in as I think it's open until quite late most nights.
Will also try Sainsburys, and I think there's an ASDA home in Oxford too now.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

I think my OH's looked at it before, but not bought anything yet. I like the way they work out their sizes.shouldstopspending wrote: »you could have a look at www.pepperberry.com - they've some lovely frocks!
I'll have to remind her about it. Thanks.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
