  • A big Thank You to all the posters who help with the competitions  :T
  • Hi everone, I've been on the site for ages but for some reason (probably because there is so much information on the site) I only ventured on to the competion board 3 days ago. Since then I have been addicted to it. I love the fact that people are so generous with their postings, not just here on the competions, but all over the boards. There are always those people that just want to profit from other peoples work and offer nothing in return except snide comments, which is quite sad. But on the whole I've found the MSE community to be a friendly bunch and I would like to say a sincere thank you to all the people that have posted competions for us all to enjoy. I will try my best to find some to share with you.

  • I've been SOooo busy filling in competitions since finding this section in the forums and think it a FANTASTIC edition to this site.

I've only been entering for just over a week but have entered hundreds in the hope of raising some much needed cash to clear raising debts. I can't get a new card to reduce my rates. I'm without a job to pay off my student loan (I dropped out). This forum is one of the ways I have left to me in hope of reducing the bills.

The competition posters in particular are beyond my thanks. They place comps on here so quickly if you've ever tried to post one yourself you'll be aware of how often it's already been done. They get little reward for sharing this knowledge but I'd like to offer them some warm fuzzy love from someone who truly appreciates their efforts.

I haven't won yet but my positive brain keeps imagining the phone ringing, the email confirming, or the postman delivery some big fat prizes.

    Make it 'Thanks in advance'!!!!

I'd take what they said with a pinch of salt :) there will always be someone on any board that doesn't like or appreciate something

There is a huge community on here now, I've been posting on comps since I joined way back in 2004 and this board was tiny and I've seen it grow and grow and more people join in and make it a fun place to be

so a big thank you from me to everyone that has had an input into this board

  • I've won quick a few bits and pieces thanks to the posters on this forum.

If it wasn't for such as Kipper, strepsy and the others who post all the time I'd not even know most of the comps exist. So please let me say a whole hearted thanks to all that post..

  • I would like to add my thanks to all who post competitions on here.:T

I love it here, for the comps and all the other money saving tips, (I'm sure there is still parts of this place I haven't ventured into, there's just so much of it!)

But also for the great atmosphere.
When I first started entering comps, I thought why would people want to post competitions and therefore increase the amount of people entering, reducing your chances of winning.
But I soon found out that this is a little (well quite big actually) community of people who all help each other, and now I have no qualms of posting comps.

If everybody kept the comps to themselves, then this board would be very empty indeed.

Can you not have two addresses with Virgin? Or can they arrange for mail from your old mail box to be forwarded to your new one?

I use a hotmail address for my comp entries and have won a few things so it doesnt seem to cause a problem, though I wouldnt know if I havent been chosen because of my mail address I guess!!!

    Good luck al!
    :T Thanks to all posters!!:j
