I just accidentally stumbled into some adult dvd competitions on google :eek:

Will someone check the search? I think it isn't showing the most recent posts again? :(
  • Grrrrrrrrrrrr @ the Post Office:mad: I've received 2 postcard comp entries back this morning, delivered to me instead of Essentials Mag. I'm so cross.
Why can't b****dy sorting office staff send postcards to addresses written on the right hand side of postcards? I even wrote 'To' above the address on one of them to avoid confusion.
How do others get around this problem, or do you just live with it?

I write my name and address diagonally across and print the 'to' address in LARGE BLOCK CAPITALS - and straight - iyswim

I thought it was just me - I'm too scared to book a holiday (not that I can afford one) just in case I win one

I for one can THOROUGHLY recommend taking a holiday! Did my prize fund wonders..

Dear Google, do I go and get a shower now?
    Never
    or do i wait?
    Indeed
cause what if the postman comes while I'm in the shower?
Depends if your single or not
I will have to run down the stairs in my dressing gown dripping away and unlock the door & restrain the dog. Plus I am waiting for a v. expensive ring to arrive which I have to ring up about on Tuesday if it doesn't come today. What should I do?
    Definitely PANIC!!
Do you think it does dilemmas or just standard yes / no questions?
The model from the future just told me you already know the answer

Write the TO address as normal.
Then your address from the side inward so the postcode is in the middle more, if you put your phone number or signature under the postcode it also helps stop the machine reading it.

Likewise if your details are on the reverse a phone number or signature under your postcode fools the reader machine

:rotfl::rotfl: Postman didn't bring me anything on Saturday :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Thanks essexgal and Thrupneybit for your answers. I did put my phone number underneath but had left a small gap - I'll put it closer next time. I'll also think more about how and where to write my addy :(

I didn't think anything of it a few weeks ago when a copy of a magazine called "Mobile Computer" dropped through the letter box. Just a free copy because I entered a Dennis Publishing comp I thought.

But then I received an email....
"Thank you for subscribing to MOBILE COMPUTER"

    the details say:
    Number of issues: 12
    Price paid: GBP .00
    Payment method: CONTROLLED - REQUESTED

Then today the next issue of the magazine arrived.

I haven't subscribed to anything and I don't think it's a comp win but the email did come to my "comps only" hotmail address.

    Has anyone else had this?
Well, you know, my ancestry isn't all hamster.
I'm one-sixteenth wolf with, you know, a little wolverine in there somewhere.
