Hey all,

I'm new here and new to competitions too...i've been getting mail from getmeaticket.co.uk asking me to enter lots of competitions, but it seems a bit fishy that to enter them you need to consent to being contacted for market research...anyone enter these? anyone ever won?

All I know is they are a pain in the butt to enter even for a box of chocs. I hate sites that pretend that all you have to do is fill in these details, then when you have done that come up with a load more, and often at the end want you to give friends emails before you can enter. I avoid them like the plague. It would be an interesting thing for people to list ones that they find like this.

I'm not sure about this new site design - I don't like the links being on the right hand side as I have move my cursor further to get to the scrollbar. I also find the link to the different forums hard (eg to get to 'I won I won' if I'm in the main comps section) as it's a lot smaller and now hidden away nearer the top of the screen.

I do like the colour scheme though.

Hope I am posting this in right place - I received a recorded delivery letter today from clubseasons.co.uk saying that I have won a prize to the value of £3750 in the Plum Offers/Seasons grand prize draw and to contact a free phone number within seven days to authenticate my claim.

Anyone got any views on this ie do you think it is a genuine prize or will it be time share where I have to pay for flights, meals etc. Sorry if I sound cynical but got one of these before (different company) and after being on the phone for about 15 mins finally found out that it would involve me parting with quite a bit of money, although that was not a recorded delivery letter.

Hi Megane, I'm afraid it's a scam - it's a timeshare not a competition prize. Have a look at this thread for details.
