Welcome Kim's mum you will get loads of support and ideas on here. I've saved so much since I joined even though initially I was just a lurker.

I would suggest making a meal plan for the week and then do a shopping list accordingly then you don't nd up buying things you won't use or don't need. I am getting better at this and find it does make a difference to my grocery budget.

    Good luck :)

I have put 6 items on ebay today so thats a start. Will get more things out over the weekend take photos and then ebay.
I have not spent any money today as its been miserable here so I just cleaned instead.:j
I have made a menu plan for the next two weeks out of what I have in the freezer and cupboard see how that goes.
I am reading a book at the moment called
How to get from where you are to where you want to be.
I find it very interesting really makes me think about my life and where I am going.
Thank you everyone for all your support

Thank you everyone for your support.
I have been reading lots of the diarys here and dont feel so alone used to think I was the only one in debt as no one talks about it.
Already starting to make plans what I would like my life to be when this debt is paid off and I do have about 4 years to think about it.
Its very cloudly here and raining at the moment so I have decided not to go out as I dont need anything except milk maybe tomorrow.
So plans for today Bedroom 3 is a mess everything is just thrown in there that doesnt have a place to go.
So I am going to go through everything in that room and work out
    1; Do we need it
    2; Can we sell it
3; If not it goes to charity.
I am hoping by 6pm this afternoon I will have a nice and tidy spare room. lots of things to put on ebay, and a few bags for charity.
I am going to have a coffee first then start only stopping for lunch and afternoon cup of tea I have shepards pie ready for tonight.
So wish me luck as I am going to need it. Think some loud music might help as well.:D

  • Hi There

Have you looked at the interest you are paying on the seperate cards? It may work out better for you if you pay of the higher interest debt first, then the next etc?

You're right - nobody talks about debt which is silly really as it's nothing to be ashamed of and having support when you're trying to get out of it is so important. Good job this forum exists :D
Good luck with sorting out bedroom 3. Hope you find loads to sell.

    The room is semi sorted ;
    2 bags for charity
60 items for ebay photos will be taken late today
Enough toiletries to last about two years mainly xmas presents from people so have opened all the gifts and they are all lined up on the top shelf of the wardrobe in bedroom 3 I had no idea I had that many.
I think I will need another day in there to finish it off found things I had forgotten about. Have started a list of what is in there.
Its nice to beable to come here and write things down as most of my family live the high life on CC. So I cant talk to any of them as they will not understand why I want to pay off all debt and live a better life.

When I say I. I really mean we but as my husband is disabled its really me that does most of it. I have told him what my plans are about the debt and hes all for it. Also included in my plans for the next 4 years. Is this house it really is too big so we should look about getting something smaller when the debt is gone but with a big garden for vegs and chickens.Well I have plenty of time to plan things.I know its along way off but I feel like I have something to look forward too , to plan and that makes me feel better. If you understand what I mean:D
