Well I have finally got my head out of the sand:D
I have debts worth £18.500
So tonight before I joined I cut up all my credit cards:eek:
Over the next few days I will do a spreadsheet of my debt and
work out a plan to get rid of it.
I have a house full of things I dont use or need so they will to go.
I want to live a better life without debt.

This forum is amazing, there are so many lovely helpful people.
Have a read of some of the other diaries if you haven't already - really inspiring and makes you realise you're not alone.
The OS (Old style) board is really helpful at showing you how to stretch the pennies.

Thank you Hovel Lady.
I already have been over to the OS forum my friend told me to look there. Lots of great ideas so have written it all down.
Right off to do some work will put my list up later of what I want to achieve in the next 4 years.Taking it one day at a time0 -
Hi Kimsmum

Thank you everyone for the welcome.
My OH has not worked for a few years due to a disability.I work a few hours and look after him and the house. Have a house full of stuff we dont use or need. So I guess thats why we have so much debt buying things plus sometimes pay a bill on the credit card.
Now it stops I have cut them all up.
Have looked around this forum and found lots of things I can try.
I will start with ebay never sold on there only bought so will try that.
Also going to give us a food budget and stick to it.
I am determined for this debt to go as I do worry about it and have some sleepless nights.
Right I was wrong on the amount its more that I though.
K & Co £ 241 2 Payments left
L/woods £ 378 7 Payments left
Loan 1 £2470 24 Payments left
Loan 2 £9864 44 Payments left
O/D £2000
Vanquis C/C £1325
Virgin C/C £1540
Argos C/C £1621
Total £19,439:eek:
The top 4 debts will stay as they are the bottom 4 will have as much as I can throw at them to get them down as much as possible.
So I should be debt free by April 2015
I do hope its sooner. I will do the best I can too do so.
Thank you for making me feel so welcomeTaking it one day at a time0 -
If you don't already keep a spending diary. It'll show you exactly where the money goes and therefore where you might be able to cut back.
We were originally looking at being debt free in 2019 but now my OH has some extra money coming in it will be sooner - I just need to work out when
Good luck with your ebaying plans xx0 -
Thank you Hovel Lady I will start one tomorrow.Taking it one day at a time0
