checking on petrol prices for the cheapest diesel in my area, since I totally forgot to fill the car up yesterday and had to drive to work with everything switched off!
ASDA have announced a 1.5p/litre reduction in both Diesel and Petrol - so don't buy too much today pbr - it should be cheaper tomorrow. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

DFW Nerd # 166 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
I took back a load of dried dog food to Pets at Home that my pooch won't touch (usually would have chucked it out or given it away) and they happily exchanged it for 5 boxes of one he does like, some chews and they gave me 56p back! That's his food sorted for the next 6 weeks or so now.
Also have ordered ASDA shopping using a 10 pound off voucher (waiting for the delivery man now - hopefully he'll be late so I can reclaim the delivery charge too!)0 -
Love this thread so much I have to bump it higher!crawley_girl wrote:Erm... erm...
- I returned the hire car on time so not to incur charges (does that count?)
- Checked balalnces of every account online
- Will phone EDF energy re: monthly dd about how I think it should be reduced! Done this, my debt has now been paid back and the dd will be reduced to £40 pm to see how it pans out for the next month, with the aim to reduce it down further but not to get into arrears again!
- Fill in AQ re: Natwest bank charges
Still loving this thread very very much!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

Today I:
- Took a teapot back to Tesco (a 'Bodum' one) as it wasn't what I thought it was (you HAD to use tea leaves - not bags) got a refund of £16.97!! Would probably have just put it in a cupboard previously!!
- Used my 'spending money' to buy a book I wanted - instead of putting it on my debit card as part of my grocery shopping
- Checked and balanced my spreadsheets with my online banking and transferred some extra money to my savings account
- Put back 2 photo frames I almost brought at Tescos, before I got to the checkout - saving around £7.00. Why does Tescos have this power over us to try and make us buy things we'd never considered that we needed?????????
