Laughable sentencing re riots
Comments
-
I read the Telegraph article and it seems that he was sentenced for looting a case of bottled water. Slightly different to nicking some bottled water. As far as the Law goes it's still stealing, whether it's a £3.40 case of water or a £340 TV.
Are you saying that it's acceptable to loot water but not TVs?
Dave
Not at all, he was completely in the wrong, I know that, you know that and sure as hell he knows that.
I just think the sentence was laughable, as per the title of the thread. The whole reason we (certainly me anyway), as tax payers pay for the criminal justice system is 'to turn criminals into law abiding citizens'. I'm pretty sure this guy won't even dare fart in public let alone re offend so why is this judge wasting £20000+ of our money on his rehabilitation.0 -
Breaking news the police have arrested 5,000 rioters.........and one has been charged he has been given a £50 fine which he must pay back at 50 pence a week and free go karting lessons!0
