Just seen the advert on the telly for 25% off when you buy 6 bottles.
What is the point of advertising the offer at 9.45 p.m. tonight if it is supposed to finish today. How many people are going to be able to buy it before the offer ends?
Just as well I got mine today (and yesterday, and Friday!!!)
tee-hee! So just how much have you spent on booze Anic???0 -

I've actually been very good :A
I have only been buying the wee mini bottles for myself. Six on Friday, Six yesterday and four today along with two of the pizza deals.:j
Tesco next to the underground station on the way home from work is a bit too handy but at least I haven't drank them all! Only one or two:A
Having said that I also bought a few extravagent Christmas presents - bottles of Bollinger which worked out just over £24 per bottle - not that I appreciate it - I hate champagne but my friends enjoy it.:T:T0 -
wow! I need to find friends who'd buy me champagne!0

I was muttering about how daft this was to my DH ! I think some stores (possibly Scotaland?) do stay open though. Anyway, I dare not buy any more wine - all my storage holes are jam pack full. And DH wants some beer.ELITE 5:2

Ok, the advert is on again! It's nearly 11pm, and I'm sure all T's shut at 4pm on a Sunday!!!
What kind of advertising is that, if people are going to rush into Ts tomorrow and wonder why they're not getting 25% off.0 -

look out for signs tomorrow advertising 25% off. buy some wine if you do see signs. offer won't kick in at tills.
then go to CS desk and get 50% off the wines (via DTD).

only 24hr tesco's near me in glasgow and they never close, but we cant buy booze after 10pm here so its still a bit pointless advertising :rotfl:I got ham but i'm not a hamster.....0 -
I've just seen the advert for this, and it says it finishes today. Doh.
Can I buy online now for delivery, and still receive the discounts? I suspect in the past I've seen mention that you get the discounts that apply on the day of delivery, rather than order?
So to be clear on the offer otherwise, the 25% discount that is applied is 25% of the cost of the wine before any other wine multi-buy offers?
If you order from the Tesco Wine website before midnight you will still get the discount - see below, copied from Wine homepage........
*Valid on all orders placed before midnight on Sunday 14th August 2011. Excludes Fine Wine
Wines which were half price are now shown as 62% off , so not the fantastic deals as instore but still good.0 -

The shelves at my local Mr T's were bare of all 2 for £10 wines yesterday - except for 6 bottles of my fave tucked away at the back of a top shelf:
6 x Ryan Rose @ £8.79 each = 52.74
wines 2 for £10 - 22.74
wine discount - 13.19
= 2.80 per bottle!
Also got the 30 Carlsberg for £15 (to keep the ball and chain sweet) and a bit of grocery shopping and used a £7 off £50 till spit and was given another £7off/£50 with my receipt!
