Tesco small wine bottles - glitch back on??

Which red wines work out the cheapest, after all the discounts and such? Also, if I go to buy a meal deal, is it easy to find out what reds are part of the offer?? Cheers!

ok stupid here. what is the price check thingy. I have been on tesco and seen price watch. I know they advertise on tv, but never really took any notice. Can someone point me in the right direction

You input your reciept number online, and if the items match with items (that tesco say are sold) in adsa, then if they would have been cheaper to buy in asda, you get the difference back. (if that makes sense!)

As far as I know there is only one red in the offer which is the Ogio Primitivo. The £ for £10 in the finest range work out best for wines generally.Other than that anything 3 for £12 or under 4 - 4.50 a bottle should see you getting them for around £15-20 for 6.

After reading this post I'm thinking that the best way to go is to look for wines with the greatest price difference between Asda and Tesco. Tesco seems to be matching the undiscounted price so my plan now is to go for items such as Wolfblass yellow label £6 at Asda, £9.99 at Tesco and hopefully get the 25% discount i.e £2.49 then the £3.99 JTD back as a voucher making each bottle £3.50 as long as I buy more than 6 bottles. Does this sound correct please?

Yes you are right and I can confirm they are price matched. I just got a JTD capped voucher for £20.

No, if you buy the ones that are 2 for £10 or 3 for £12 you can get them for £2.60 - £3.00 per bottle if you buy 6 (price depending on which wine you buy). You don't need to do the pricecheck for this.

I'm not sure about the meal deal. You can get the Tesco Finest reds for around £3.00 per bottle, there's around 5 different red wines to choose from. You need to look at the shelves carefully, the 2 for £10 were hard to spot in my supermarket. They all have a thin silver band around the bottle neck.
