Just called Halifax, they said they have no plans to scrap visa electron, or easycash when they merge with Lloyds.

In the time it took you to post that you could have just looked it up yourself.

Just so you are aware thats the number I always call. Savage made it sound like there was another number available which had more information to share.

    the number is 0845 609 0491

when they answer they say "Easycash helpline".

    hope this is of assistance.

Edit: I would ask about their plans after the computer system is merged with the LTSB system and if they still plan to give out electron cards and easycash accounts after that.

and I see where you are coming from too, from the whole post.

I look forward to either you or someone else telephoning that number and then reporting back verifying what I have already said. Or correcting it and if the first operator says it is not going to happen I would call back two or three times as you surely should know with most organisations of this size "the left hand rarely knows what the right hand is doing".

Seems things have changed with you since this morning.

Out of interest why do you take part(s) of posts out of context and then laugh about it?

If the Halifax General Banking Dept. told you "Indian elephants would make good house pet's" would you believe them?

There is a specialist telephone number for the Easycash account service, there always has been a special service for those customers. You have contacted the wrong department and I trust you do understand how a large company like that works and that those "on the ground" are generally the very last to know.

It routes through to the same consultants that every other banking customer deals with.
