Well - I'm home and I completed the 5K in 42 mins :j - I had to run some and walk some due to the really muggy hot weather and the huge hill at the start!!! Not sure Holyrood park is the best! But anyway very pleased with myself even walked the extra mile home after it:dance:
So at the moment bath running, just had a bacon butty and poured myself a glass of wine!!! A chilled out afternoon is next:wave:Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -

A wee update before I head to work.
Travel expenses in the bank this morning so I have made £100 to egg and £50 payment to Alliance and Leicester credit card. Good start to the week.
I still have £100 of the travel expenses but I'm working away next week so will need that to cover my expenses then (rather do this than add to credit card). I'm still waiting on another £450 approx worth of payments coming in from some freelance work, so can throw this at the debt as well.
Also taking lunch and snack's to work!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
That's another £295 towards the load so it's under the £3000 mark!! Also received a cheque for some work I done, so I'll get that into the bank tomorrow. Very happy!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850

Hi Sarah,
Your doing great with 30% of your debt paid off! I know sometimes it can seem like your going no where. My OH and me have been one step forward and two steps back for the last few months - the two of us is working flat out just now so we should be able to make a dent.Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
Just realised that my last post said I got my loan under £3000 but it's actually £4000! Which I knew just miss posted:embarasse
Not been the best week - had to use the credit card over the weekend to cover work expenses, which I will get back at the beginning of next month.
Also found out that my full-time work has not been extended - however they are looking at doing it sometime in the near future.
Have managed to save around £15 in £2 and 20p coins which isn't a bad start:beer:
That's all to update about just now.Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
 So frustrated!!! Just added up all the debt totals again to find out that I'm above where we started back in January!!
Completely to do with me and my job, I have been working freelance for almost two years now and then a year ago I got offered a fantastic part-time position which I took. Now this was great seeing me through a slow patch and I really enjoy the work. The trouble came when it stopped some of my other work due to conflict of interest - but then about 6/7 months ago they started talking about making the post full-time, so I have stuck in hoping that every month there would be more news about it and there has been more than one occassion that I've thought that it would happen. So because of this I let some of my other work go - and haven't been as proactive in looking for work (because I didn't want to commit to things and then let people down!).
Anyway it's been two steps forward - 10 back for the past while and I'm feeling really frustrated at being skint constantly all my money going on repayments but the total not going down.
The good news is that it's almost certain that my post will go full time in the next few weeks (just waiting on the confirmation), my OH has been working solid for the past 5 weeks and is for the next - so our income is doubled during this time. At the end of next week I'll be due around £1200 for various work.
I'm going to have to look at my SOA again and update my signature so it's got an accurate figure. I think it is

GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
Well just back from a week of work - totally knackered! Also got back to a couple of nasty surprises, the Mortgage has gone up to £400, Lloyds TSB up to £500 min payment   and I got two bank charges because I didn't get my freelance cheques soon enough:eek:
I'm still waiting on another £1000 in freelance to come in - so will try and throw as much of this into the highest interest card.
So tasks for today to try and get back on track.- Ebay some stuff that we have in the flat (BT phones etc).
- Get things together for car boot sale.
- Chase up some of the freelance cheques.
- Do some work for the company which should lead to more income later on in the year.
OK now I've calmed down - I will get on with sorting it out!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
I'm back! Been away the last couple of weeks working. Came back to a huge pile of bills - very depressing  . The phone has been cut off so no internet at home until I fix it:mad:   So frustrating as we have the money now to pay it all as we've been paid for all our work.
Anyway on the bright side;- I've just checked the accounts and we have enough money to cover the bills for the next three or four weeks,
- I started working full time on Monday which means a good increase in income in August until at least March,
- I've just done my debt totals and we are below the £30,000 mark again,
- due to a demand from A & L I have paid off the overdraft.
- I get paid on Monday so will be able to throw another load at the debt.
- I'm still due another £500 from freelance work and OH is off working for the next three weeks!
