Argghhhh!!! A few steps back last month as I working away - so spending money on food, bills not getting paid on time!! Yet to calculate the damage in total but I know that I will have bumped up the debt by a couple of hundred pounds.
The good news is I did make £40 in ebay last month, so this is in my paypal account waiting for me to earn some more before I move it. Also by working away I think I've made around £1800 on top of my normal £750!
I've also put a couple of sim cards on ebay so hopefully this will bump up the income!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
Sounds to me like you're being very productive! Remember to have some relaxing time as well, you dont want to 'burn out' or whatever
Good luck, and keep us posted!

Feeling abit more in control again of the finances, I have just paid a load of bills for this month.
Which takes down the total debt to £29,159.81 and paid £810 towards it, I know there will be another £300 going onto it before the end of the month!
Sim cards aren't selling though? Need to have a clear out and do a car boot sale!
Also going to stay in this weekend and work on some project ideas, which should generate a bit of extra income for March-April.
Slowly getting back on track!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
Paid some more to the credit cards today, so it means that we have paid £1246. Also calculated how much interest we are paying each month, what a fright it's a huge amount....so as much money as I can is going into the credit cards.
Just found out about some carboot sales at the weekend, so I will do a clear out and see what I can sell, every little helpsDebt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
Sub 30k!!!!! Yah,. well done you!!!!
Calculating the interest I think is the best spur to keep you on track - scary isn't it!!!!
Keep going!!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Now after all the talking and worrying about how to save money, the panic attack OH took at the weekend due to worrying about how we are going to clear this. What has he just said to me?
"I think we should go out for a really nice meal tomorrow for Valentines"
Lovely thought I know, but I'm sitting here ebaying everything in site...trying to find an extra £ so we can get out of this mess. And he doesn't realise why I said that I thought it would be best if we left it. That's how we got into this mess, with the it's fine we'll have more cash next month attitude!
Sorry just need a wee moan before heading off to work.
My aim for this week is to fine another £84 from the budgets/ ebay to get us below the £29,000 mark, wish me luck.Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850 -
Well done Weegie-dfwm your doing really well and seem really focused.

By the way, do you teach musical instruments? If so, what kind?

Yes it would be nice to go out for valentines but maybe you could do something special at home buy a bottle of your favourite wine and watch a DVD or something? You can always make an effort instead of paying to go out.
Good Luck with it allMaking my money go further with MSE :j

He's still going on about going out, but I have a plan and it will cost me £10 tops!!!! His mum & aunt just sent through some vouchers & money to say thank you for some freebies I got them when I was working at a venue. So I'm going to use the money to get a nice bottle of champaign from our fantastic local wine shop, buy another nice bottle of wine with my £10.
Then with the £15 M&S vouchers go and get the rest of the ingredients I need for cooking him a great prawn receipe from the wagamama book.
He's out rehearsing all day so I have plenty of time to transform the flat (a tip because I was working away for all of January/ feb) and prepare the dinner ready for cooking!
Also have another plan for putting a little extra to the debts, anytime I see my accounts with an amount that isn't on the £10 or £5 I will put the extra into my savings account (e.g. £77.45 in account, I will put £2.45 into my savings), and once it gets to £20 I will transfer it into one of the high interest accounts. I know it's not loads but it should help a little and good for motivation!Debt Total. 17th February 2010 £15,6850
