Shock, horror mobileshop in move to help customers claim cashback

  • This thread is about Mobileshop allowing cashback claims to made via email. This has nothing to do with Quidco!

In resposne to the OP, I too have had it confirmed by my contact at Mobileshop that cashback claims can now be emailed. This method will be promoted to new customers.

I wonder if that means that existing customers cannot use this method. True they told me that I can use it but I never told them that I was either a new or an existing customer. My gut feeling is that it will be open to all and with my 7th month only a couple of weeks away I will be trying it soon.

This may be a daft question, but if Mobileshop are like other retailers and working on the basis that people may not claim (or hoping so to make the deal viable), why would they make it so easy to claim by email attachment? Surely this is making it even easier, which will lead to more people meeting the deadline and successfully claiming?

With these deals I am always interested in the angle ie what is in it for them.
