All tescos EVENTUALLY are going to stop R+R. There policy is going to be double the difference instead. This is happening VERY soon. Heard this in our Tesco and they told me that they were told it from head office. It's acase of just wait and see i'm afraid.

I'm just worried that if it's double the difference and I inform them they've undercharged me do I have to give them double the difference?
It's not the taking part but the winning that counts.

How will they be able to do this on weighed products? Will we all need to carry calculators to work out correct per kg prices?

They could always weigh it again at the correct price and make the deduction.

  • My local store stopped the r+r policy a few months ago. I just got the difference back. Shames, as I though I was going to get 6 packs of mince for nowt. Ended up buying it at the old price instead-win some lose some as they say!

Thought it was strange when I was in York Tesco today and couldn't see the R&R sign behind the customer service desk, unless they've moved it.

Seems a little unfair to change the policy in some stores and not in others.

  • I was at local Tesco CSD yesterday for something totally unrelated to R & R, and there was a man there trying to get a refund on a game he'd bought. He wasn't having a lot of success from what I could tell!

I overheard the CS woman say to this chap "As a company we know about the website. Measures are being put in place to prevent the abuse"

So as I know one of the CS girls quite well I asked her what was going on and she said the policy is changing on February 1st because of the widespread abuse. I've only had 2 or 3 overcharges in the past, none of which I have actively gone looking for, they've just happened in my normal shopping  It won't bother me but those who have abused it have only themselves to blame.

So there you are folks, looks like your gravy train is coming into the sidings :rotfl:
