:) As I said, it's an incredibly useful tool.

Your mentor may ask you to do a projected Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet too (although mine didn't, as my expenses are so low, the cash flow was sufficient). If you want help with that, give me a shout.

Received a phone call today to check for my eligibility and whether i had a good business idea. They seemed happy with my answers and now setting me up to "Fast Track", but we'll soon see how "Fast" they claim it to be. I've got a meeting with the JobCentre tomorrow about it. Hopefully they will email my adviser tonight/tomorrow morning so that i can be transferred to the new allowance.

pinkypoopydoo, I've sent you my email address, i would appreciate it if i could also have a copy please, Thanks :)

Does anyone know if the NEA payments are taken as income for tax credit purposes?

My partners contribution based JSA has stopped so were not getting anything as I earn too much apparently. So I'm speaking to tax credits to inform them but wondered if I would have to ring them back when he gets the NEA.
  • Well, that's me signed off JSA. You can all keep your fingers crossed for me that the transition to NEA is easy, as if it's not, the kids will be eating dust this month!

I would call them to ask. I am not sure...now i am wondering if it's taken into account for HB and CTS too.

:T :T Yay! Good luck Pinky, my fingers are most definitely crossed for you. Keep us updated please, it'd be interesting to see how the transition goes!
I am insanely jealous! I wish my mentor would call me!

:) Will do! I'm panicking slightly because I have no confirmed work lined up for the first month, but have work confirmed for a July 1st start, and an interview next week for another client who wants a guaranteed 10-12 hours/week with an immediate start. The feeling of being back in control of my own destiny is great though! :)

Go for it (pinkypoopydoo) you can do it, hard at first but keep pushing and things will come together !!

My books have been done for May 2013 and its my first month of over 1k in net profit, very happy but need to keep pushing also as its easy to get complacant and drop backwards.

Bad news is the JC have not sorted my NEA payments after the switch from the £65 to £33 so no payments from them for 3 weeks , useless , another trip in on monday it is then.

And my belief is that NEA is taxable and does affect the HB / CB payments as its classed as income so probably best to check it out guys as if is the case then it could be claimed back , not a happy outcome.
