well actually, i don't know but if they're breaking glass and carrying heavy objects, it would be the sensible option! Were all the ones you saw wearing gloves too?

you can try and make this as racist as you like. the people actually living through this on their doorstep are the ones out there clearing up and not trying to score pathetic racist points.:happyhear0 -
Why is it racist to cite the truth?
Black people outnumber white people almost 7 to 1 in the US jail system. That's a statistic not a racial slur.0 -
When did race/ethnic origin become a persuasion?mamabuddah wrote: »Afro-Carribean persuasion?0 -
I don't think there's any single ethnic group that are to blame.

facts have no place in a debate like this....;) if people want to believe that this is all about 'black people rioting', then that's all that they will see. i'm not sure which is a more depressing indication of British society..... the riots themselves or the shameful reaction by some people trying to twist it.Bowling_4_Gold wrote: »I don't think there's any single ethnic group that are to blame.

perhaps when the likes of Ali G and some of the , dare I say it, white gangsta style music artists (and I use the term artists loosely) started taking on the persona and speech traits of the Jamaican / Afro Carribean community..."borrowing" their dress sense and cultural influences? No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0 -

Lol, i've not seen anyone wearing gold hotpants or mankini during these riots. And ive yet to hear one londoner pull off a convincing jamaican accent, jimmy?!?!? (aka "do you hear me?!")0 -
and clearly they "borrowed" their dress sense, none of the clothes fit them!
Maybe thats why they started at JD, who knows?!?!0 -
Just out of interest, how do they get their pants to stay up? The only way I can imagine is by safety pinning them to their undies on the inside...or some sort of secret 'gangsta' velcro sytem.
