Agree with this. Parents need to be arrested and jailed if their kids and found guilty of public order offences.
Absurd. Disagree.
Most of these scum are from single mother families as the father idol is not around to give the brat a beating it needs to stay in line.
If a child runs a muck, then the child needs punishing, no the parents.

Not really. The kids could easily leave the house without parents being aware. What are they going to do 24/7 watch over them?
14 being out at 11pm is no big deal anymore. The times.
Anyway, my money is on kids from run down council estates single mother families.

You may well be right. However, it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that this sort of behaviour could be triggered by the youth feeling hopeless about their future. Yes, these hooligans could get a good education and a decent job, but could it be that they are now thinking that getting access to a decent education and a job afterwards is now limited.
It's OK for those who live in their ivory towers to critisise the current rioters, telling them that they behave themselves and be more responsible. I'm sure a lot of these young people are probably unemployed and we'd be happier to see them working in McDonalds rather than wrecking it.
To those tower dwellers who look down on "burger flippers", how about showing a little more respect to those who do bother to work (even if it is a low skilled job), rather than treating them as a failure in life. I think that part of the reason for these riots is the feeling of being the "have nots", rather than just being totally random vandalism. Not that I'm excusing their actions or saying that it is exclusively down to the current economic climate.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -
