Thank You hun....I really appreciate that....
I WILL get there this time....Just have to remember that I AM worth it....worth the extra hassle....And that I don't want to let other people down anymore....They deserve better and I deserve better....0 -
So your mum has taken on your debt again and you are going to pay her back? Erm, how? And what happens to her if you fail to pay her credit card bills like you have all of yours?
You say you are paying £165 a week towards debts plus you owe money to QuickQuid, Next Credit and Peachy Loan (a total of £615 by end of June & July.)
There are 6 weeks until the end of July. If you were spreading the repayment of the debt equally that is £102.50 a week.
This is of course totally ignoring the 4 big debts that you pay nothing to.
So £165 plus £102.50 plus £50 (to your Mum to pay her credit card) is £317.50 a week.
Yes - £317.50 a week before you even pay any bills, buy any food.
So £317.50 plus rent (As you've said previously your mum pays your rent as the tenancy is in her name as you couldn't get one - have you started paying her this in full every week not just "paying her £25 here and there" as you were?) plus bills plus food plus travel plus therapy costs equals £? (You will know this, I obviously don't.)
Really? What happened to being realistic? Your plans to pay your mum £50 a week plus pay everything else you need to are simply not realistic.
Your mum has endlessly bailed you out and you think it's OK to take more money off her and leave her IN DEBT?
What happened to this posted 12 May?DreamerHelen wrote: »I AM turning things around....and no more borrowing from people....no more not paying Rent....or my other Debts....I WILL get there....I just have to be realistic about it at the same time....So, work out what MUST be paid and work out what I can live without....if that makes sense...0 -
I can see where you are coming from Shovel Lad....but this Job has the potential for me to earn £750 per week if I stick to the hours that I need to do....which I have started to do from tonight and just need to carry on....
I know you are trying to help and I get that....and I thank you for that....I get that you don't trust that I can pay everything back and all I can do is prove that I can and intend to....But you'll have to just wait and see on that one....
I can only do what i can do....And I spoke with Mum who agreed that her taking the Debt on was better than the Bailiffs coming to the Door....And I have promised her that I will pay the Credit Card every month....
It will be tough with the PayDay Loans over the next few Weeks but after that it should be easier....
I know I sound like I'm making excuses...and maybe I am....but I'M happy with how things have turned out today....and I feel happy with that....and inspired to change my Life....
I'll keep everyone updated as to how I'm getting on....0 -
Good luck and good night hun. Am away tomorrow to hospital with mum, but will catch up next night. XIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0

Morning Helen, hope you had a good night. How many hours (and how much if you don't mind me asking?) did you manage to make last night? Hope it was a money-making night for you!:money:0

Well done Helen for writing all those debts down
I know you said its scary but don't be down. That's a similar level to where I started. It can feel impossible but now I know its not.
The important thing now is to keep going. Your job has a high earning potential if you stick at it. Do you mind me asking how many hours a week you must do to reach the £750?
You now MUST stick with this, as ShovelLad has said. He's given some great, fantastically honest advice.
Paying debts off will NOT happen over night. It took me a long time to get my head round that and I can see that becoming a stumbling block for you too.
Making a realistic plan is the most important thing you can do now. And if on the odd occassion you fail (as we all have) don't take that as meaning you should stop working/go to bed/order a takeaway. Take it as a lesson, dust yourself off and start again.
You can do this.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Morning Everyone....
PestoPasta....I worked until the very small wee hours....managed to get SOME sleep....and will be Working throughout the day today as well....Didn't manage to completely hit my Target but by the end of the day I should manage to be where I need to be at this point in the Week....
I've already nearly got at this point what it took me all week to get last Week!! So that goes to show that it CAN be done!!
Beccie....thank you for the advice....In order to earn £750 I need to be able to do about 100 hours which isn't always possible...it depends on what I'm doing for the Course on that week....for example - If I'm on a Course Weekend then obviously I can't dedicate as much time to my Work because I have to be compus mentas for the Course....That's why I said my Wages always go up and down....
I'm starting Work at 10am this morning...Working for 2 hours until Midday....then having something to eat and have to do some Household Chores....and then starting Work again at 2pm and Working until 4pm....so hopefully it will be busy today....I've only got a small Target this morning of £18....so hopefully I can get a nice long Call which will take care of that....so we'll see how it goes....
I'm on the Course tonight and will be Working when I get home until about 5am and then I'm off out tomorrow to meet a good Friend for Lunch (on him)...so that will be a nice way to relax....
I feel really proud of what i did last night....I didn't Work quite as many hours as I wanted to do but I DID make a fair chunk of money so I was really pleased with that....0 -
Wow Helen - 100 hours to earn £750 - surely this is not possible! That is just over 14 hours every day seven days a week!
I thought this before, but now I will say it. I think you should also look at other things to increase your income. Mystery shopping for a start. You live in London and so there should be lots of opportunities for you to do some mystery shopping. Even just picking and choosing the odd one will soon add up, and will get you off the phone. I know that there are some good threads on here about mystery shopping. I do mystery shops for a couple of companies, but sure an expert will come along soon with more info for you. If not, I will PM you the details of the ones that I do.
Also, have you thought of moving home with you mums for while if that is possible? I take it that she lives close by. This could be an excellent temporary way of getting your debt shifted quickly, and also supporting your mum if she is going through a tough time medically. If there is a spare room, you could deck it out like a studio room anyway, a home from home if you like.
Anything to sell on ebay (like others have said)?
Also, Topcashuk. This is a great site for getting FREE cashback. If you take a look there are little insurance quotes and things you can apply for to get free cashback, without spending a penny! This is an excellent way of building up money to pay of debts or for treats.
Other things for free treats. Have you got a Mywaitrose card? And a waitrose nearby? Apply for a MyWaitrose card and you can get a free coffee/tea whenever you are in store (including lovely lattas!). Amazing deal!
Need a good book to read? Go to the library. Newspaper, well it has to be the Metro or Evening Standard of course!
Really, what I am trying to say, it that there are lots of treats you can have for free. But also, I really don't think that anyone could consistently earn £750 a week for working 100 hours EVERY week on the telephone. I think that maybe you base you budget on this then fail. But Helen, I think anyone would fail! This is too much!
Not sure if this blog makes sense, just started typing and didn't stop for breath. Anyway, please look at other income streams!:money:0 -
Thank You for your thoughts PestoPasta....I WILL look at some other places to get more money....
The reason I do the Chatlines is because they fit in around my Course commitments....and that can only be a good thing....
I won't always need £750 per Week....I'm hoping to get it down to about £500 per week once my PayDay Loans are paid off....and that will make it much much easier....
Thank You for all your advice....I will take a look at everything that you have said.
Re the moving back home....I'm afraid not....Mum already rents her spare room out so there is no space for me....And I've committed to this Place until next May....the Lease is already signed, sealed and delivered....
I WILL make this Work because I have no other choice at this point....Gone are the days when I can think "Oh well, I'll just pay that next Week" because there IS no next Week...next Week I have other commitments....so I have to stick to what I've planned....
Things WILL get better once I finish the Course....that's only next Year....And later this Year I plan on taking on Private Therapy Clients....which will increase my Income as well....so that will help....
But I WILL look at Mystery Shopping...I'd appreciate that PM if you don't mind hun....and I'll take a look into it....0
