Helen include everything in your dmp whether you use stepchange or payplan or do it yourself, doesn't matter so long as you are true to yourself and use proper figures and do not take on extra credit.
use the allowances for spends realistically - you need to be able to live so paring everything right down to the bone and working 100 hours a week to earn enough is not realistic - if you are going the DMP route you are in this for the long haul so its got to be realistic and something you can do week in week out - even with blips in internet connection, being ill and losing a days money etc.
im self employed, my income varies as much as yours (probably not quite as much as yours as the only thing I am structured about is doing the hours to get the minimum amount I need to live on) - I had to tweak my DMP to include all my debts, I was fighting to keep 2 of them out of it for want of not messing up (crazy behaviour now cos I can see all it was doing was digging me in an even deeper hole). my DFD should be 25 years from now (yes really...) but I've already shaved 2 years off that. :j:rotfl:
all of us that are here in debt got ourselves in this position, so its up to us how we get out - that maybe the DMP route, it may be bankruptcy but its only when your honest with yourself and the situation you are in that you can actually make informed decisions which are attainable and make you feel like you are achieving something.
(and for what its worth the 95 hours working a week routine is possible but it will probably make you really miserable and maybe even ill the way you are going) - is debt worth that? I personally don't think so.
stepchange if you decide to use them have heard it all before but they can only help you and work in your best interest if they know the full situation so yes INCLUDE EVERYTHING!!!0 -
Im here ...and thinking . Can you hear the wheels whirring ? lol
Catch up soon xIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Couldn't you find work in an oap home overnight ? You'd be on above minimum wage so could work much less hours for the same amount - all the ones round us are always screaming for staff and you can pick and choose the hours, then the phones/text could be a sideline ?Sealed pot challenge 822

As above, did wonder if you had looked into cleaning? I know your health isn't always fantastic but I've found it easy to find a cleaning job that fits around my studies, plus they often have over time so I can work more in the summer, wishing you the best xx0

Morning People....
Well I've been a busy little bee this morning....I contacted Step Change but what they were offering is not for me....So I've contacted my Creditors and offered to pay a little less each Week, have sorted out the Arrears problem and now I'm feeling a LOT more confident that I can make the Payments each Week without falling behind....
I'm currently Logged On the Phones....I'm doing Midday until 2.30pm and then I have a Delivery coming so need to get off the Phones for an hour or two.....and then I'll be back at 5pm for the Night Shift....
Onwards and Upwards....xXx
EDIT: I'm not ignoring the Work Suggestions but I honestly feel that the Chatlines are my best option right now.0 -

They have helped over 2 million people over the last 20 years. They help over 1000 people each and every day with their debt problems.
You are not unique sadly.
Why is what they are offering not for you?0 -
Hi Shovel Lad - They offered me an IVA....and I have heard really bad things about them and about the repercussions of them....Very similar to being Bankrupt and I don't like the idea of that!!
Anyway....I have contacted my Creditors and made the arrangements which gives me a little breathing room and means I am still paying them back - It will still take time and I won't be Debt Free anytime soon...but at least the Payments are manageable now rather than £50 a Week each which is just not feasible when you have several Creditors!!
So that's where I'm at right now....0 -
