I got 995 points - no idea what exactly that means though ... guess I must have been pretty close with my guess as a spot on guess is worth 999 points .

I feel really silly coz i can't get to the puzzles. I registered last week. When I get to the read mail page it tells me to register and when I go to register it tells me i'm already logged in but then takes me back to register mail.

I got 996 I thought this was points not miles as the legaue table shows the people with the higher scores at the top - There are some people who have 1000+ points, not sure how the scoring system works but I got billabong wrong to start with (only just seen this thread!) and then it let me guess again so thought that may be what the lower score was for?? If its to do with location then i can't be far off!!

Anyone know whether its points or miles etc?? This one looks like it could be fun!!

Aha - just found this info on the website:

The closer your pin is placed to a source of Red Gold the higher your score.

At the end of each trial you have to guess where you think the Red Gold is. Your score is calculated based on the distance in miles of your guess from the location of the Red Gold. The maximum score for each trial is 999, this would be awarded if you managed to exactly identify the location of the Red Gold. If your guess is more than 1,000 miles away you’ll be asked to guess again.
At the end of the 7 trials your score earns you a number of guesses in the Final Challenge. On completing the first trial you receive one guess, then for every subsequent 1,000 points scored you earn another guess. The more guesses you have, the higher your chance of wining great prizes.

No idea how someone has managed to get over 1,000 points then??

Are you putting your user name & password into the passport?? It then takes you to the first screen - there is a register box on this but ignore it. Continue as this is just to prompt people who haven't already registered.

I had the email loop problem in Firefox - it eventually worked for me in IE.

Thank you for your help, wonder when the next one will be. I got 999 points through complete guess work at where to put the pin. Seemed a bit random, not sure if I missed some clues!
