Local Court Nightmare

Its quite simple, you dont seem to be grasping the concept so ill try and make it as simple as I can, TOWN boundries and COURT boundries as I have found out are NOT the same. It probably dates back the dooms day book or some other ridiculse bit of burocracy but thats the FACTS.
We paid our council tax to the council in that town, the town LEA run the 3 schools in our village and it is the nearest court by disatance hence we incorrectly assumed the county court would be the correct one to submit the BR at. I didnt state that it was a BR court because I stated we had an appointment with them to go BR, HOW would we have an appointment if the court didnt deal with BR??? thats would be an monumental F**K up by the court staff.
Is it any clearer now? CAN WE PUT THIS TO BED??
Your first post does not say it was a BR court and you did not say you had a appointment with the BR court which is why I had to clear this up, you told me in a later post that it was one so I merely asked if there was something else which could affect you application. There is no need to be rude, others are reading this and need guidance.0 -
yes please cos its boring... yawnbsc 347:j0

Why did I need to say it was a bankruptcy court??? I clearly stated that the court turned us away due to locality juristiction, apparently they dont have juristiction over our areaJust been with my EX to the local county court in our town to be sent away as apparently they dont have juristiction over our area and we need to go to another court 14 miles away. What a ridiculose situation where court boundries and town boundries are not the same, Thanks
My post was clearly to do with locality and nothing to do with what services the court offered0 -
Your quote 'juristiction' does not say BR court does it? You locality may have been due to you living in a different area, how do I or anyone else know this with out you being clear, sorry for asking! Tell you what Il swap my lenses for crystal balls and I might be able to understand you.0

And it didnt say it wasnt? did I say they turned us away because they dont deal with BR? NO I said they turned us away due to juristication over our area? Now what does the word juristiction mean to you?
Juristiction - THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OVER WHICH A COURT OR GOVERNMENT BODY HAS THE POWER OR RIGHT TO EXCERCISE AUTHORITY.
Pay particular attention to the word GEOGRAPICAL0 -
So if you know the meaning to Juristriction why did you go to the wrong court, your first post is now invalid. Without knowing if you lived in a different area then this could have meant exactly that0

possibly all has something to do with levels of population, and expected workloads within various Courts?
For example, a Court in a city might well be expected to have a large local population to deal with.
However, a Court further away in a smaller town, having a smaller local population to cater for....might well have lots of villages and smaller towns added to its catchment area, right up top the boundaries of the big city?
Of course, boundaries can become blurred as villages become Barratts estates, and towns merge into other towns.
Where I used to live, the parliamentary boundary lay just one field behind our back garden.....when contacting our local MP, we were referred to two other MP's, the claim being we weren't in his constituency!
Almost forgot what topic we needed his help with, in the argument about whose constituency we were in.
Never mind when it came to planning permission, and conservation areas!
We were all right with voting..however!No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Alaisterq is exactly right, it has to do with the size of the court, the population and the funding they receive to do particular types of work. This of course does sometimes lead to quirks where the most local court is not the assigned oneHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
