Local Court Nightmare

Just been with my EX to the local county court in our town to be sent away as apparently they dont have juristiction over our area and we need to go to another court 14 miles away. The court phoned the other court for us to get us a new appointment but couldnt get one untill 9th september. I was fuming, my Ex was in tears after psycing herself up for it just to be sent away. What a ridiculose situation where court boundries and town boundries are not the same, this is the problem with the country where bureaucracy rules over common sence.

Does anyone know of an official site where you can search you local court by post code?

Thanks

Insolvency Service website. Did you not read the forms and ring the court first?

The postcode search on that site only works for london post codes, otherwise you need parish name, and it doesnt recognise our parish

The paperwork said the name of the town we submitted it because I wrote it.

Thats just the same, post code only for london, otherwise parish name and it wont recognise our parish name, if I try village name it mistakes us for a town of the same name in another part of the country.

I'm sure the woman at the court took our address when I made the appointment, they should have informed us then.

Too late now anyway, I just wanted the check what the internet said before I put my complaint in.

    Thanks

You would not be able to get a apointment for bankruptancy if the court was not a bankruptancy court. There is enough information about to guide you how to apply. Bankruptancy is very serious and they will go through all your affairs, I just hope you have taken advise and filled them in correctly or you may have more problems to deal with later. This is advise and not against bankrupts (I am still a bankrupt myself), it took me 3 months to get the right advise before handing in the forms and I am very glad I waited.

Did I say it wasnt a court that deals with bankruptcy?? Think you should read a post correctly before you try to give advise.
