  • A bit of flying done today 3 loads of washing all line dried and put away except few bits that need ironing tonight. Kitchen all cleaned and DH hoovered downstairs after beach visit on thursday and friday - I hated the crunchy sound of sand under my feet on the kitchen and bathroom tiles!! Spent afternoon in park children loved it. Going out for day tomorrow as DH is still off another week, so I doubt other than the washing up no flying again - boy am I going to have to get a move on once the children go back to school to get it all clean and tidy again.

Caught up on most of thread, hugs to those that have had a hard week, especially Vanilla and Triker
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

    whew!

came back from town with a new elastic for my knee which is doing the business...
and straps for DS to hold his shinpads on *shruggy smiley here*
and got my £25 i tunes card for Bil for £20. We will deliver his card tomorrow because we're going to my sisters, in the South of the county as my oldest cousin is visiting the area and we decided to meet there because he and his wife are staying in Ashbourne. I do believe it will be the first time I have seen him since his Parkinson's diagnosis - he's about 5 years younger than my mum. I think the last time I saw him was at his mum's funeral in 2006? (I'm rubbish at this...that can't be right must be 2005)
Anywat the knee bandage has helped. I have ironed a maidenful and been rehoming stuff. Things need to go back in the decorating box (eg the plastic plates I stand paint tins on) but the decorating box mustn't go away until the paintbrushes are washed and dried...the old sheets could go away though...and there are a couple of things to put in th attic, too.

Shame I already brought the little steps down, though, to be fair, this is probably a big stepladder job (loft ladder not yet bought)

also need to photograph the item I have listed on e bay without a picture...

hi all, hope everyone is well, hugs too those that need them. i can't remeber what i did yesterday :o except going to a family party last night. i have boxed up most of the stuff in our room. got a few things to box in LO's room and have washed and bagged all the bedding and sheets, for our and LO's bed. have just left the ones on the bed as i can get them washed a dryed and put back on the bed in the same day hopefully. just the bathroom to do now, i was saying to OH earlier i dont think its worth packing the kettle the night before we move might as well just put it down by my feet because i will most probably want a cuppa when we get to the new place :). have sorted out the hall cupboard and under-stairs cupboard. have a load of washing on atm, and 1 more load to do. OH hoovered all downstairs earlier, and all upstairs yesterday. going to have a cuppa now and wait till washing machine finishes and will then put the last load on take care all. thanks for creating this thread BTW, it has helped me get organized and I've felt a lot less stress this last week. knowing things are being crossed off my lists on a daily basis. so a very big thank you !!!:T:T:T:T:Tx

I'm flagging a bit now so have stopped for a quick coffee.

I've decluttered & packed the contents of the coffee table, top of the cabinet, 2 toy boxes & 2 cupboards.

Another HH then i'm going to need to get Ds2 bathed and to bed.

Try hot brandy or whisky (proportions of hot water to alcohol dependent on your taste/alcohol tolerance :p) with honey & lemon, and maybe some cloves. Drink with the hottest (heat and spiciness) curry you can stand. Or chilli of you don't like curry. Plus a couple of painkillers.

Always does the trick for me :D

    Hello :)
Hope your throat gets better soon MrsChaos x

Thank you Juliejim :) My sis and bro in law came round with homemade scones and homemade jam, card and the couple anniversary figurine from The Willow Tree - our boys bought the wedding figurine from the same company last year as a wedding gift out of their own pocket money, I'm so chuffed especially as we didn't expect anything - we feel spoilt :D

Am doing an ickle list for this evening:

    Declutter dishes and shine sink
    Feed animals
Bake cake - our anniversary, friends anniversary and friend's birthday :)
    Declutter dishes from baking
    TD on
    WM on
    TD on again
    Clean bathroom
Depoo lawn (eww - gotta be done)
    Spendtime watching hubby's band rehearse
    Relax :D

As I said - only an ickle list but looking forward to getting stuck in tomorrow :) May be going for a walk around our local country park together tomorrow but I will do level 1 and a frog or two in the evening if we do :)

    Ta ta for now :)

  • Evening ladies.

I have done loads this week, crossed of lots of things on the lists and dealt with some pretty grotty frogs.

Biggest frog of all was the scary corner cupboard in the kitchen

Among other things I found a pair of hair straighteners in perfect working order, the spare tiles from the bathroom I was looking for for about 4 months whilst I stalled the insurance repairers (they only replaced with sort of matching ones a month ago :o), more black sacks and brabantia bin bags than you can imagine stuffed in a small plastic bag, and some lovely wooden patterned napkin rings which I paired with their matching lovely bright gold napkins and table mats which were collected earlier today by a very nice freecycle man.

I have the eldest bumpkin teen back from his hols so there will be more for me to do this week. And more for him to do as I have made up a list of "man's jobs" for him :rotfl:

Thanks again for giving me the virtual kick up the bum I so needed, it is really helping :T:T:T

    Hugs & strength
    BBx

How about visiting (or meeting up with) friends instead, hex and dusty (hope the gardening has cheered you up a bit). :D You're welcome to come for coffee anytime as soon as I've cleared enough space for everyone to sit. :o

My throat's no better, so I'm going to hunt for the tcp. Hate the stuff, but needs must. I've got the distinct feeling of coming down with something as well as AF's company, so I'll stick to decluttering for the moment, rather than energetic cleaning.

Friends is very different ;) but I am very picky with my friends ;):D
Hope your throat gets better soon.

Snap. Waste of a day and £60 in fuel yesterday and now today I am too sore to do anything useful

We did about the same in fuel hex. I am not too sore as I sat with my hips completely straight but mine are not as bad as yours hun, hope tomorrow is better.

Garden looks much neater for some mowing, strimming and deadheading. DH and DS1 did the former two. Sat frog spotting and the max I saw at anyone time was 8 - it's only a little pond and was new this year.

    Dinner done
    Towels on the line
Coats sorted and swapped. Going to wash some now and I have 1 to carbook, 1 to ebay and 1 to store.
Freecycler due for old snooker table - fling
    Next:
    Dw
    ironing
list one more item on ebay
    banking
