Today hasn't started as well as I'd have liked. One month old still has diarrhoea and a rash so we're going to see the GP at 10am this morning. I'll attack the list when we get back.

Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One
Open the windows and turn on some music!
    Vacuum floors
Declutter the chairs, floor and top of any cupboards!
    Level Two
Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
Clean any ornaments, glass, mirrors, pictures etc
    Level Three
Wipe sofas, paintwork and dusty places
Empty and wash out vacuum cleaner.. don't forget filters!

    Extras
WM - woollens, then line dry, fold and put away
call tax credits with updated figures for last year and estimate for this year.
Wash, dry and put away crockery and cutlery.
    Steam sterilise the EBM bottles.
Sort out a hot spot in the kitchen!

Hi all, please can I join in?
I've three weeks to get cracking before I start a new job. We bought our house in October and I've had to work away for the last 6 months. DP has been living here on his own and the whole place is in a total mess! I'll be sticking to the list to try and get sorted before I start work again.

Right....now to try and find the floor in the living room before I vacuum it! Thanks for all the lists everybody. I will post my own once I feel I have made a start :-)

    Morning all

going to get my e bay sorted and posted then do the list then deal with some frogs. Hope I make a better job of it than Jynx who was seen tentatively batting something in the garden yesterday. Popped out to see her 'testing' a huge toad LOL. We brought her in to give it a chance to slope off:rotfl:

    Can I join?

Our apartment is quite small, but I feel like it is always messy, cluttered and dusty. It's a lot better than it used to be, when I first moved in, but there is still plenty of improvement to be made.

Tonight I'd like to tackle the microwve oven. I tried last night, but didn't really have the best cleaning products for it, so it is better than it was, but still not great. Have received a tip from my SIL though, that I will try tonight.

Also, there is a huge cardboard pile in our house (from OH ordering his gadgets, and stuff), that really needs to go. It is the dreaded cardboard mountain! I hate it. It feels like we manage to get it down a little, and then OH just adds to it again! Arghhhh!

I would love to get the flat looking better before Sunday, when we go on holiday, so we can return to a nice clean flat. :D

OK, that's me for now as I'm a little scared! lol

  • All OK here, thanks, it doesn't seem to have got down to us yet. There is a possibility there was an attempt at trouble about 1 -3 miles away, but that seemed to be stopped in its tracks fairly quickly.

The fluffy cat hates me now as I had to declutter some rather stinky matted bits from her rear end this morning. She may have been the one swearing (well, not the only one, admittedly ) but I could think of a few things I would rather be doing than angry fluffbag wrangling on a Monday morning, too. And it means I have to vacuum again.

Minion has been returned by KH without warning. A week early. Seems she had enough, I think.

She's very pleased by the bedroom onslaught, though.

Have breakfasted, endured kids' TV for a couple of hours and will be going out in a minute to get a few bits for her room, like a couple of new storage boxes for under the bed.

If I can drag her away from Captain America cartoons, that is.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
