I'm in again -thanks to all - I want to try and get as much sorted as I can before we go away next weekend. I still have an ironing mountain and it's getting bigger despite doing a few HHIs this week. I'm going to try and pack during the week too otherwise the kids will wear the clothes they're supposed to be taking away with them!

Just posting our progress to keep me motivated. We have sorted and packed the bookcase, CD storage, coffee table and most of the built in cupboard in the living room. Just need to finish that and put it in a box then one unit and a table to do. We are trying to sort through as we go so we don't take too much rubbish with us, although there are still things to be sorted when we unpack in the new house. Unfortunately part of what we have left to do this evening involves sorting some wedding stuff which I have been trying to ignore. I am suffering a little with it all being over and dealing with kind of finalises that, tomorrow will be harder as it involves me parting with my bouquet :(

My sewing room is currently used as our living room, as the living room is undergoing major renovation (new ceiling / floor / walls .. To name a few bits ;) ).

The hallway is suffering due to the dust and debris being caused by the living room DIY, so it needs a good going over.

The cat family will be flying (or fluttering) again this week.

SPD and back ache still bad so sticking to 5 minute jobs. I'll try to vacuum a room each day in under 5 minutes (but what I don't manage to do in 5 minutes gets left). I'm decluttering old clothes as well so will aim to fill another two bin liners of clothes for CS.

  • Can I join please - I would love to be a flylady (or at least try...)

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and I've been really inspired by you all. I need to get a grip as my house is in a sorry state.

    Thank you for the lists.

    I'm in
urgent extra that I want to knock off my list this week is the rub down and paint of the bathroom ceiling. Than I shall phone the spark I have lined up to fit the new light - now the OLD light shade dropped into the old toilet just after I started being a flylady... and we've been using a bare bulb since...
then I just need to sort a blind - (cue blind man/nun joke) and I'm done.

Wednesday I'm at me 'slow down' course...*cof**blush*

And I must sort out the cashflow and factor in a sum to straighten DD's teeth *sigh*

  • I am in again this week. Thanks to Pigpen & Toots, and welcome to newbies.
We are back from our weekend away. DD1 had her exBF(now current BF) to visit while we were away. She told me he was coming (not asked :() just before we went. I didn't tell DH, as it would ruin his (therefore our) weekend. When we got back, there is the remains of last night's pasta bake & this morning's breakfast not washed up, aswell as an opened bottle of champagne in the fridge  He is not stupid, and she is going to cause problems big time if he keeps asking questions (I have an inability to tell lies, especially under pressure :o):mad:
Anyway, we had a good time :D I need to get back to flying now, and I am working all week. I also need to pack for our holiday next week :j
DD2 & DS1 are staying with my cousins for a few days (the ones that recently lost their dad). DH & I dropped in to see my SIL who is on IV antbiotics in hospital for mennigitus (sp?) on our way back (detour from hastings to Essex, via Redhill). She seemed surprised to see us, and it was good to catch up with big bro :)
