This is an article in today's Guardian
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Interestingly prior to the new contract my dentist wanted to see me every 6 months now it would seem she wants to see me every 3 months for a "clean and polish" Given that she is a very pretty little blonde it would be nice to think she is after me for my body but the more practical and cynical me thinks its a way to increase her income !
