Neighbour blocking my car in (on the street)

Hello,
One of my neighbours is blocking in (using her and her husbands car bumper to bumper) anyone who parks outside any of the properties she owns on the street.
I avoid parking near hear whenever possible as I don't like getting drawn into her petty disputes but once again i had to park outside one of her properties and so i'm blocked in. She wants me to knock on her house so she can dispense her pent up anger, as she does with contractors who work on her properties (spends all day shouting at them!).
As i am using the public highway responsibly and am paying tax for the privilege I have to stand up to this woman, confrontation will not be constructive as she is simply an unreasonable person and she seems to have anger/territorial issues. I'd like to be able to park outside my house every day but i don't own the street and this is the real world.
What are my legal rights regarding the issue of her blocking my car in on a public highway? Where can i find help or information?
(i am not causing any obstruction or restriction to her access btw)
Thanks for any advice.

She obviously has some issues. I dont think you can block people in delibrately, and you have every right to park on any part of the street assuming you abide by any parking controls and or not block peoples drives0

block her car in and see how she likes it0

i was tempted to block her in with another car but im not playing games with her, shes like a troll, the more conflict the more she likes it. I'd rather just play by the book.
I wouldn't mind but she runs a business from one of the properties which draws customers who need to park on the street. Ive never once even had a moan about that.0 -
I think it's obstruction of the highway or some similar piece of legislation. Try ringing the police.0

She sounds like a sad old case. It's of no practical help to you, but console yourself that she's doing more harm to herself than anyone else by being so hateful.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Quick update, shes poped out and theres space by my house now so ive moved my car. I got a photograph of her little game anyway. My brothers a copper so i'll have a chat with him about it when i see him. She is certainly a sad person, how do you even get that twisted??!! I think she knows the rules and rights of people parking on the highway, I guess bullying just makes her feel powerful.0

Sounds like you may need to start keeping a diary of events and if possible photos/video of the closeness of cars. Perhaps even attempt to record any verbal she gives you using the voice memo on your mobile if it has one. If you collate photos of her blocking in various different cars it will make it hard for her to agrue it was a one off.
Also what type of business does she operate from home? I'm wondering what permissions are needed regarding customer parking requiremnts etc.0 -
Let us know what your brother say's. What she is doing is not right and i'm glad I don't live on a street like that, she doesn't own the street and I personally would be tempted to get a disabled bay outside my house. (My sister is disabled) and the minute she dares to park in it I would clamp her. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

You cant do that Im afraid, if you request a disabled bay out side your house, it's not exclusively yours, any person who has a disable badge is allowed to park in it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
buy an old banger park outside her let her block you in and just bump them out of the way (though sure this will be illegal)The futures bright the future is Ginger0
