Hi santer, the new version is working ok, it,s just not showing in all programs on add/remove, the old version instal exe file is still on my pc.it started of as just an update, and presumed, wrongly that it would write over, and remove old one, as it has , several times before.but it didn,t .looked again at piriform forum and it seems that , although they won,t admit it, it,s their software at fault. As the new version is running ok, i,ve scanned it for malware, etc, I am tempted to leave it, but curious why, revo, and my add/remove , are not locating it. It,s as if it,s not there .Do you think I should take it off, and revert to old 3.08? .When I click on update on ccleaner, it says, latest version successfully installed.There,s definiteley a bug in the new version,

If it's not showing up does it show when you do a search. It should, and then you can delete all CCleaner files and reinstall. I'd skip the newest version until they sort it out. It's very unusual for there to be a problem as it's one of the stablist progs there is.

maybe worth installing an older version and seeing if that will uninstall. If it does you can retry the new version and then check if it uninstalls.

Hi, Which search do you mean,I can locate it no problem from start, typing it in search.also, Icons are there for quick launch, no problems finding it and running it.The only curious thing is it is not showing as being installed in control panel, add/remove, it,s not there, also, when I tried to uninstal it using revo, revo couldn,t find it, even typing it in their search.the exe files is there, and uninstal file is there,from start /search

obviously I cannot uninstal from control panel add/remove, as it,s not there, and when I tried using it,s own uninstaller last time, the same thing happened as when I tried installing it, it just didnt complete, sat for ages waiting for it to finish, but never did, that,s why I had to abort using on.off button. Curious or what.? Like I say, others on piriform are having identical symptoms.one guy tried 3 separate pc,s, nogo. edit, just tried filehippo for old 3.08, can only find 3.09 new version

Yes, use the windows search, delete all ccleaner files, then reinstall.

If you look over on the right, underneath download latest version there is a list of old versions, from 3.08.1475 to 1.16.082

I have .1493 and it shows up in control panel

Just wondered if an older version would show on your PC, if it does at least you have a way of removing it

my 3.08 showed in control panel, why new doesn,t don,t know.can you overwrite new with old. still have 3.08 exe setup file on pc.the reason all this occurred is I went to run cc, and it said do I want new version, So I said yes, waited 15 minutes to overwrite the old one before aborting. several times.IF I try to uninstal now using their uninstaller, and have to abort again, I cannot use control panel or revo? that,s the dillema.
