If you find the "have a look at this" threads, there are a fair few like this one on it :)

We looked at a lot where the only "potential" they had would have been with ten litres of kerosene, but saying that I'd rather get a hefty discount for clearing a place than pay 15K for a cheap paint job and a vase of spiky twigs. We were more likely to go and view houses in this state to be honest.

I had several family members whos houses were like this when they died - they wouldn't accept help from family or professionals and just lived that way. My parents used to deep clean my grans house once a year (facemasks/ disposable overalls), but within weeks it would be thoroughly squalid again. You couldn't get into some of the upstairs rooms; but there was little anyone could do about this.

My first thought was students! (Sorry, all you wonderfully tidy students) After all it is Bristol with a massive university.

Probably wouldn't allow access to the house and took the pictures themselves for a laugh - hence the cobweb.

Just cannot imagine that an estate agent would take a picture of a cobweb.

OK, just for a laugh (you can tell I'm stuck at home ignoring the housework) spot the clues!

I think its an illness, they cant cope but wont accept help. Its quite sad and not really down to the agent. I bet in all that mess there is some good stuff.

Surely even if the EA can't touch it, the photos could be a bit better. Are they selling it with contents included??

This paragraph on the website made me laugh... I think they've already done that :rotfl:

    Are you selling this property?

Make it stand out from the crowd and increase your chances of selling. Find out more

I wouldn't image its a student house. Westbury isn't really that close to either of the Universities in Bristol, and its a rather expensive area.

My daughter went to Bristol University and, trust me, there are some very wealthy students that go there.

How far from the uni is it? My daughter only had 6 lectures a week (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so didn't have to go there often. Unbelievable I know.

At least 2 bedrooms seem to be in current use(?) so not sure about the probate scenario. Still stick to my student theory - have seen too many similar houses!
