    Big ((hugs)) to you.
Don't feel you have to stay away and not post when you're feeling down. That's probably when you need it most. Happy to listen, well read.
Yes, there is someone worse off than you (and me too for that matter) but it's not a competition to see who has the worse life so please don't feel guilty or stupid. We're all human doing the best we can and that's enough.
I'm recovering from a bug/throat infection that OH gave me but feeling good other than that.
    xx
  • Thank you so much, and big hugs to you too, your OH sounds very generous sharing his germs with you! Hope you are feeling better xxx

Thank you Flee, Good luck to you too! Just been reading your diary, what a busy life you are leading! All that homemade food etc you truly are an inspiration!

Well have been sat here on by big fat butt on the computer all day...DS is out with his mates. I have a constant feel of dread, the knot in the stomach feeling, do you know the one? Went on the CCCS debt remedy thing, from a link on here, I think I may just have to try and do a DMP I think I want to do it individually not joint, even tho OM has very similar debts than mine, and we jointly own (mortgage) the property, does that sound sensible and the right thing to do to you? I feel so alone, I'm gonna end up as a recluse with only stray cats for company the way I'm going! Oh enough with the woe is me.... I'm off to do my washing up and try and make me feel a bit better about myself...oh happy days!!! :)

I have got to get a grip of things, and stop impulsive spending and turning to the bottle when feeling miserable (which has been quite regularly these days :o)
Thought that if I write on here things I really need to do, that seeing it in black and white might make me stop procrastinating and actually start changing things in my life.....so here goes...no excuses anymore.

    In no particular order!

    House related stuff:
    [STRIKE]De clutter and clean kitchen[/STRIKE]DONE!!:A
    ---- "
    Front room
Make my bedroom look like a bedroom instead of the local tip :,(
Sort out DS room once and for all get rid of all the junk he doesn't use/need (get him to help too)
Decorate bathroom get leaking pipes sorted before floorboards collapse

    Garden
De-weed potential vegetable patch, ready for onions and garlics
Collect crab apples and make crap apple jelly for xmas gifts

    Myself
Stop wallowing in self pity :o:(
Stop sitting on my fat backside and get above jobs done!
Ring OU and see if I can get financial support for courses
Search for jobs and apply for them!! (aim to apply for atleast 2 a week-I really hate my job, (am in a school so off at the mo) I have to get out before I go mad!! and end up like this :rotfl:)
    Stop drinking
stick to a diet and lose weight :silenced:
Make myself go out of my house everyday even if it's just for a walk in the village
research things to do that are free/very cheap and fun for us as a family can to do together (got to stop wasting my days sitting miserable watching tv all day everyday :()
    Learn to smile again:D

    Debt related stuff
    Ebay everything I can!
look into amazon for selling books
Pick one credit card to really work at getting rid of: 1st one will be MBNA Owe £318.41 aim to have paid it off by December:T
Aim to have 5 days out of 7 as no spend days

I'm sure there are lots more to do or should be doing for the debt related stuff but even though I've been on here for a while now I still feel like a rabbit in the head lights if you know what I mean.....
Any other suggestions will be gratefully received!!

Well thank you very much for reading this, I'm off to make my kitchen sparkle...I'm fed up with living in squalor it's just not healthy for the soul!!
    Laters :) xx

Sorry I haven't replied before. Stuff going on you know?
Did you make your kitchen sparkle? I hear Kim & Aggie may make a visit later to check :rotfl:

That's a huge list of things to do. Did you get any of them started? Crap apple jelly sounds fab - can I have a virtual pot please?

Look forward to hearing how you are, take care xx
  • Morning HL how are you feeling today? ((((((((big hug)))))))))

Yes I did sort out my kitchen.....I forced myself off my fat lazy butt and started in one corner and worked my way around, had some good tunes on the stereo and actually quite enjoyed it, it feels sort of liberating, and I have a kitchen now that Kim and Aggie would be proud so HL you can send them round but as long as they don't look in the cupboards I didn't do that bit :) ) or the rest of the house it'll be ok!! :T
The difficult bit will be keeping it like it...and now have the rest of the house to tackle :( and I really don't know where to start with that it's dreadful....could never even let the meter reader in as too embarrassed :o

Well today, I've got to go into town to pay credit card and put in the money I got from a bootfair I dd at the weekend, which will be going to pay towards the MBNA credit card, which I feel quite excited that I've finally decided to tackle the debt instead of still living in my bubble of panic with me head in the sand....
Right I better go and dig out my waders, it's great weather for ducks here today!!

I'm doing mostly OK, thank you.
Don't worry they won't look in the cupboards or rest of the house. For at least another week anyway :rotfl:

Just make a start anywhere. Doesn't matter what you do first just do something. Something I like is:
"Every journey starts with a single step".

    Make that step now xx

Haven't wrote on here for ages, decided to bury my head in the sand.....again:mad: Why do I do it....
I'm such an idiot....if you are reading this, thank you, and I hope all is good with you, I'm not looking for sympathy, I have brought this all upon myself, I know....I just hope that by writing this diary I can see my drivel in black and white, and instead of being in denial I will actually do something about it....
I have been on here for the best part of the day,(I'm sure i'm driving the lovely forum members mad on another board....) after a horrible letter from a debt collector threatening to come round, I am hoping the debt is statute barred, but it's not so clear cut as it is an overdraft....my head and chest feel like they might burst (and my eyes too, with tears lol) My stomach is churning with panic...My financial situation is finally got to come to a head, and I know I'm no where near as bad as many, but it is a big black hole of gloom just the same....my spending hasn't subsided either, I have an addiction to food shopping, and drinking too much, good job i don't smoke too, or I would definitely be bankrupt by now! My partner has just had his work cut in half, to just 2 days a week and my place of work looks like it might get taken over by yet another company...although I will be tupe'd across again.
As I write this I can hear a violin playing in the distance, :rotfl:
Actually just by getting this off my chest, is making the feel of panic subside a little!
So enough of the self pity, and time to get productive and not give up until I have finished what i have started..this will be the first time ever!
So the plan of action is.........
1, work out how much i owe on credit cards done!
    2, update/redo my SOA
3, work out a budget....and stick to it!
    4, consider a DMP......
5, get update with uni work, am soooo behind...
6, don't put off till tomorrow, what can be done today!!

there it is all in black and white...i'm going to make sure i keep coming on here, to make sure i keep focused and not fall back into bad habits....
    thanks for reading xxxx

  • LoobeyLoup well done for coming back!

We've all done it... began the repayment process... give up... and started again.

But the main thing is you have decided to start again :) You can do this, you can get on top of your debts and get them cleared!

    Good Luck!!

    xx
