    welcome to dfw board! :hello:

practically speaking, have you done a statement of affairs? basically like a budget thing which you can post and people can help find ways for you to cut back! think the link is at the top on the first page of the diaries. worth doing to see if there is anything you can cut back on.

also, whilst you and OM ( :) ) are working part time and looking for full time, pop over to the up your income baord and check out ways of making more money. lots of ppl rave about surveys, personally i do mystery shopping and its been great for me helping to earn extra cash. also you can do some jobs where you get free meals out, bowling etc.. so means you an OM can have a treat for free! :)

Thank you so much, I must admit I was expecting some harsh comments like "stop feeling sorry for yourself" and there's far more people far worse off than you....so just get on with it!!! I was a bit scared to look on here tonight...but you've made me feel better, thanks for subscribing...it makes me more determined! TY

Hi Clippy, last post goes to you too...thank you!! I have done a soa...but just mine as our finances are very separate altho we hav a joint mortgage but will do a joint one...would it be better to post it on here or debt free wannabies? I do do surveys, and have recently started on top cashback, and going to do a bootfair once OM's estate cars heater plugs are fixed :rotfl: will look into mystery shopping....which one do you do? I did join one sometime ago, but think it must be american, as I keep getting invited to shops on International drive, but I think commuting would defeat the object don't you think!!! Thank you so much, it is so lovely to know there are some lovely, understanding peeps out there.....
we went out tonight, the first time since forever, DS is staying over his friends, and OM is seeing how stressed/upset I am...I'm so irritable and ratty, does stress make you like that too? well he said, "right, we are going out..." we went out to a local town and had a lovely Indian....the first one this year...omg it was divine, we both enjoyed it so much, and it was so lovely to get out of my disgusting, damp and cluttered shoe box of a house we live in (get the violins out..again!!) it did both of us the world of good.....but OM took money out on his CC to pay for it..does that make it bad? He says, life is sooooo poo at the mo, and what exactly are we living for...actually at this point in time, I really don't know!!!! But onwards and upwards it is!!! how, I don't know just yet....my tunnel is so buried, I can't see any light, but I'll just have to keep digging!!!:j

hi looby, i have signed up to lots of companies as they all release jobs at different times so sometimes you miss them and also sometimes you cant do the same shop again for a few months. the best one to get you started is prob retail eyes as they have the most jobs. think you need to do a pub job first then you can see more jobs. they pay on retail eyes is not that high for a lot of jobs but they have a lot of straightforward jobs to get you started.

    everything you need is here-

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3297184

there is a list of companies and info about tax etc... plus if you have any questions ir want to chat about jobs (anonymously) then thats what its for. just make sure you dont ask a question thats covered on the first page or everyone will shout at you! ;)

glad you enjoyed your indian, i am off for one next week nom nom nom :EasterBun

Glad you had a lovely night out. Sometimes you just do need to take a break from all the stress. Yes, stress makes you ratty and irritable (my OH here nodding head).
Put your SoA on here and the main DFW board - you'll get more answers then I think.
Keep digging - the light IS there somewhere xx

    Welcome to diary land!!

firstly well done on posting on here - takes a lot to open up and be honest about your finances.

secondly - you are NOT alone.

Can you talk openly with OM(:)) about how you are feeling and the finances? might help if you both look through this site together?
definitely get you SOA posted - put it on DFW board and on your diary.

I have joined quite a few survey sites - it is slow but every penny counts! Try ebay? start with any big money items you do not use or need - like mobile phones, cameras, jewellery, then good make clothes/handbags etc. people will by anything - half full perfume etc.

I find keeping a diary helps, I have just returned after 3 months without the forum and have gone downhill so I am also starting a fresh.

Keep posting and best of luck :):) xx

Aaaah Thank you you are all so lovely!! I was expecting a bit of a telling off for the OM drawing money on his CC, so thanks for not lol!! Thanks clippy, will have a look later, sounds great, think I can just about manage doing a pub job ;)...Hope you enjoy your Indian next week, mine was lush! Want to eat it again now lol!! Won't help my weight (actually it does help grow the blubber lol) I'm about 4 stone overweight , but that's another story lol!

Hovel lady glad I'm not the only one who gets irritable! I don't mean to be snappy and feel really bad after!! But thats what stress does to you I suppose!! Oh and my grey hairs seem to be multiplying :( Not Fair!!!!

Miaow Thank you! And welcome back to you! I'm sure you will be climbing up that hill again very soon! I love your pic, they are sooo cute! Yes I can talk to OM (;)) about finances, I think it's all we do talk about really, how sad! Will look into ebay, unfortunately OM is a bit of a Delboy and sold some dodgy boots (if you know what I mean!!) on mine and his ebay accounts a couple of years ago, and ebay suspended the accounts forever they said  Will try and see if I can set up another one for my address.

Hope you all have a lovely day, I'm not going out today, to save money, we might go for a walk later and look for blackberrys etc, I find it great fun finding freebies of food do you?! oh my obsession with food :rotfl: I'm going to spend the afternoon reading your diaries and others, and get some inspiration!! Thanks guys!!
Right I'm off for a shower to get rid of the indian that I can feel seeping through my pores...tmi!!

Oh and will do a joint SOA today too...... See you later :)
