In an effort to change the mood.

Can I ask?I have noticed that quite a few of you seem to know each other outside the confines of the forum. Is this because you have been on here so long or did you know each other before and join together?

And with that in mind is there anyone in Edinburgh that fancies being my coupon shopping buddy :rotfl:

a lot of us have been on the forum for a long time and have met up and become firm friends, I live at the other end of the uk or I would have been happy to b your shopping buddy, its always good fun when theres more than one of you.:)
Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

never complain about growing old,far too many people have been denied that privilege.

Seeing as your refusing to post any coupon finds on here does that mean your not using anyone else's coupon finds that post on here?????????? Selfish is the word that springs to mind. If we all did that then there would be none.:eek:

Selfish no my last coupon post did not even get an acknowledgement which was done in bold blue . I do share my coupon finds with a facebook group just not on here anymore and there are not any good coupon finds of here of late that us as a group have not already found. I am a lurker on this thread for the reason MT is being over the top with not allowing chat so the thread had become rather regimented not to mention the ex regulars who also refuse to post finds here and sl*g other users off in the drival thread and expect people to post over there come on guys see the light bring this thread back to how it used to be.

I'm pretty new here but even I have noticed a bit of a side shift for the worse. Can we not all just chill out share and be comrades in the spirit the forum is meant.Don't we have enough problems with the rising price of everything without bickering amongst ourselves?

I now have the urge to shout 'all couponers together hurrah :T' whilst punching the air in a suitably theatrical manner :D:D

I just wanted to add my thanks to everyone on the coupon thread. I have only recently (in the last few weeks) discovered the wonderful world of couponing and am very addicted now :)

Thanks for the morries s/s tills advice. I've only used the coupons on Sainsburys s/s tills and they are hit and miss whether they go through.
I would also get an item taken off the bill if it was an item I bought and had a voucher for, in fact I would probably get the whole bill cancelled and look for a nice young lad on an ordinary check-out and re-do. :D

See how it goes later. lol

    Lynsey

There is a bit of a knack to using MOCs at sainsburys SS machines.
If its one of their own till spit MOCs if possible I will put the item through seperatley eg I have one for milk bags so this will be scanned on its own. The machine only allows maybe one of 2 before it calls for assistant and it also calls for assitance for any MOCs over a certain ammount - I think its £2 even if its own on of their own conditional spends.

Also you cant rush the machine, you have to wait until it say "coupon accepted" and then hold the MOC in the slot for a second so it breaks the beam before dropping it in.

If I am doing a bigger shop with numerous MOCs I just ask the SS to put them through for me, saves a lot of mither.

If the machine wont accept bonus points till spits I take these to CS to be added on - alos a good chance to do any return or get wombled receipts sorted out.

(Apologies mods this is totally o/T re freecycle - well worth joining your local group, even if you think you have nothing to offer, even empty jam jars are acceptabel, eveyrone is jam making. Earlier in the week a branch broke on our plum tree so I put a message up on our local Freecyle group. Over the course of the eveing 4 people came along and we managed to rescue most of the plums off the floor and clear the wood and broken branches off the lawn and 4 people went away with masses of plums for jam making plus some pears and almost ready apples. We have had the promise of some jam and one lady brough some surplus green beans and we made a new contact for our "fight the developers group" so I have his contact details for future reference. Everyone with gardens has masses of excess fruit and veg at this time of the year so its well worth joiing your local freecyle, possiblity of some free produce!)

i've been wondering whether to post or not , as i was hoping thing would have been better when i came on this morning. but still as hostile as ever i see.

in answer to how i feel , well crap is the answer ( truth is i nearly didn't come on this morning)but i agreed to run the thread and thats what i'll do no matter whats posted. but its not nice being blamed for all that is wrong with the thread.

Yes this thread has changed with many many more people joining it was bound too. for one its increased the posts enormously.
    with this in mind.
i felt and still do to a certain degree that if nothing is/was said and people just post what they like when they like ( in relation to non coupon stuff that is)with the volume of people now posting in this thread it will very quick just end up like a general chatter thread with the coupon content lost amongst it.

i wasn't saying no chatter at all , i was just asking that it be coupon related , as this is suppose to be a coupon thread

would be a shame if the thread was closed due to being so far off topic, rudeness and bickering

no doubt this post will not be agreed with either

Now please can this end and get to couponing.

just remember this is a coupon related thread

    nervously posting MT

    Well said CW.:T
MT does a stella job keeping on top of the forum and i can't imagine how all this is making her feel.I for one don't mind the chatter too much and never really get around to going on the drivel thread as i hardly have time to keep up with here. However it does start to get grating when we get situations like applegate.

I'm pretty new here but even I have noticed a bit of a side shift for the worse. Can we not all just chill out share and be comrades in the spirit the forum is meant.Don't we have enough problems with the rising price of everything without bickering amongst ourselves?

This also seems to be an answers surveys etc gain points thing.Dunno how that will work out in the long run.It says you can spend them in their shop so could be good:j
