thanks
thing is i wasn't telling people no chat , i was just asking to keep it coupon related.after all its a coupon thread.
not for example the numerous posts about apples recently which were of no value to anyone.
it may have been ok before but since DTD has finished and the words spread we have many more people using the thread and the volume of posts has increased enormously as you've found.
oops promised myself i wouldn't get posting on this subject again.lindseykim13 wrote: »I don't usually post anything other than finds but i wanted to say i wouldn't blame MT if she decided to tell you all to get lost and do it yourself.
I might not have been on this thread all that long but without MT we wouldn't have a nice organised list on the first page.
We as thread users should do what MT wants us to do-why should she sit though 5 pages of carp just to find one coupon link and pop it on the first page?
I didn't log on yesterday and have just tried to catch up, normally 2 pages max to read though, today more like 5 and much of that was total rubbish and not coupon related.
Fair enough people can post what they like but why should MT bother keeping the thread updated then? I'm sure we all don't mind hearing about glitches, coupons, dtds etc as that is all what we are here for-moneysaving. But why do we all need to read a page on how someones day is going etc, thats what the drivel thread is for or facebook, twitter, pm's or get a blog!
I wouldn't have posted but feel MT is being ganged up on, perhaps those complaing should start and run their own thread.0 -

in answer to how i feel , well crap is the answer ( truth is i nearly didn't come on this morning)but i agreed to run the thread and thats what i'll do no matter whats posted. but its not nice being blamed for all that is wrong with the thread.
With all respect MT, you are missing the point. No one is blaming you. Most of us who have dared jump out of lurkdom took an opportunity from a simple post which mentioned that the thread did not have the same friendly warmth it once had. Another post in support of this quickly followed, as did another, and then as I felt exactly the same I too posted in support of that comment. No one blamed you MT, in fact most of those posts all went out of their way to thank you for your professional running of the thread and your excellent shopping lists.
Most of those that posted that support were once regular posters on here, who all felt aggreived to some degree about the way the thread split was handled. No one disagreed that something had to be done, it was the way it was dealt with, thats all. Like you we are all entitled to our opinion, most have kept it to themselves but I reiterate - took an opportunity to be heard.
I also said in my post that I appreciated fully the problems from an evolving thread and could not come up with any answers. I guess I was largely lamenting the way it used to be and for that I apologise.lindseykim13 wrote: »I don't usually post anything other than finds but i wanted to say i wouldn't blame MT if she decided to tell you all to get lost and do it yourself.

I too wouldn't blame MT if she packed it all in. However, previously another MSE user offered to take the thread on, in all its glory only to be completely outed. In fact she claimed she had previous experience of forum running so therefore was prepared for it to become a huge task but was rejected.
Again, I don't think MT is being ganged up on, and I am sorry she is taking it so personally, but then our voices have to be directed at someone and as "Thread-Head" she is the equivalent to our friend Phil at Tesco.
We were just airing our views on a thread that is close to our hearts too. Nothing malicious or bullying was intended nor implied.
If the "drivel" thread was more welcoming then we might feel inclined to post in it. Instead you will find as many posts that are drivel as whinging/sniping about this wonderful thread.
Beginning to wish I hadn't logged on again now. Flippin heck.
Im donning my Orinoco suit in a min and Im off with my picnic to Asda. Damp days are also a womblers friend, they fly out of people's trolleys or bags and cling to the ground a-while, long enough so people don't bother to pick them back up on ground not wet enough to ruin it but damp enough to stop it blowing away when it spots a wombler heading its way.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

perhaps i should have worded my post better
i should a said it feels i'm being blamed for all and i was for at least the 1st 4 posts which were aimed at my posts for keeping it a coupon thread such as suggested redirects. but i suppose it has to be directed at someone.
i will not take it too personal though and i will carry on with the thread no matter whats posted because i do enjoy it.
all the posts were appreciated too.
perhaps it was a can of worms waiting to explode and last night was it.
think its 2 issue though in a way,
ones the feel of the thread and the split
and other is/was my reminder/redirecting posts in an effort to keep a tidy coupon threadmyalphabetgirls wrote: »With all respect MT, you are missing the point. No one is blaming you. Thanks for clearing that up for me BLI did say I ain't got a decent Asda so never done their APG
So A sell This Water for instance but it doesn't appear on MyS, I can see how that can get very annoying!

I've just been thinking about the Whitby fishcakes MOc so I sent my daughter the link as she loves fish. £1 for a pack of 4 in Asda, two varieties, so only 70p after the MOC.They would also go nicely with the green beans every seems awash with

Can I ask?I have noticed that quite a few of you seem to know each other outside the confines of the forum. Is this because you have been on here so long or did you know each other before and join together?
And with that in mind is there anyone in Edinburgh that fancies being my coupon shopping buddy :rotfl:
Hi hun
I have never met anybody off here, but sometimes I have pm'd another peep with info and just to ask a question or even to sympathise when they tell us they have a bad problem of one sort or another.
Peeps have occasionally pm'd me to for similar reasons.
Hope you find a coupon buddy.:):):)

sorry to hear that gill
unfortunately the feel has changed your right but that was bound to happen as the traffic increased on this thread anywayI know I'll get hung for this, but MT I think all this is scaring folk off, this used to be such a friendly easy going forum, now a lot of us are scared to post or just dont bother to share with everyone, and that again goes round to maybe we shouldnt put it on here.:(you have it in one MT, before the split we were a "family" thats all gone now,we didnt want a split,we were happy the way it was, I think now is the time for me to duck out graciously, and log out perminatley.:(0
