  • Does anyone know what Mr A's coupon policy states? I sent an email last week, asking for a store specific one, and I am yet to hear a thing.

I questioned this a couple of months ago after having coupons refused (even their own APGs! - they said they couldn't take coupons for more than 10% of the total cost of my shopping and that it was a company-wide policy) and had the following reply:

"Thanks for your email about the acceptance of manufacturing coupons and our Asda price guarantee.

I'm sorry there has been confusion over the use of the coupons when you and your mother have been in the store shopping. I can imagine your disappointment.

We will accept all manufacturer coupons (including internet coupons) in line with the terms and conditions of each coupon. You must buy the product to redeem the coupon and there is no limit to how many you can use.

Your coupons should have been accepted along with the Asda brand guarantee coupon. I'm really sorry they were refused and your Asda price guarantee coupon is now out of date. I would like to send you a gift card to make up for this. Can you please let me have your address details? When I receive them I will send it straight away but it will take between 5-7 days to arrive.

I understand your mother did ask at the Customer Services Desk but they were unsure about the policy of accepting manufacturer coupons.

In light of the above, I've emailed **** *****, the General Store Manager. I've asked him to remind his colleagues about our coupon policy.

Once again, thanks for contacting us and if I can be of further help, please let me know"

I printed the email off and now carry it in my coupon wallet in case I get challenged at A's tills

I gave a coupon to a lady in Morrisons a couple of months ago, she was behind me at the till and had a box of washing powder that was on offer but I couldnt find it so she told me where to find it and held up the queue for me till I got back. I gave her the £1 off voucher I had spare and she looked really suspicious at me, especially when it wouldnt scan lol Hope she used it and didnt waste it!

Has anyone used the same code more than once? I've got 3 cartons on my desk and I am convinced I used a code for the second time yesterday but the sytem seemed to take it and gove me a 50p MOC ???

Also I noticed that there is no info on the cartons about recycling the cartons. Some packaging now says if its recylable

Im sure I used one code twice too (my mistake really), as I thought the voucher just had to be downloaded and didnt have my printer on straight away. :o

I then re entered the same code when I had the printer on, and it was accepted.

It does warn you that each voucher is individual, and can be traced back via the code you put in though, so its not worth taking the risk.

Oh dear, Ive never stopped to check if they are recycled, I always presumed they were (in areas that do Tetra carton recycling):o

I did also wonder about collecting any codes from any cartons I see in the tetra recycling box at the tip (very unsavory I know, but I would have loads to share on here if I did!:money:)

If you mean the voucher for £1 off Honey Shreddies (which are on offer in Tesco at the moment for £1, making them free) - all the information you need (and much more!) is on the 1st page of this thread.

This may seem a daft question, but should't we use out clubcard or nectar card when using the vouchers (especially if it says one per customer?)

I'm very often been sent little money of vouchers for tesco for the types of items I buy regularly (eg 10 extra points if I spend more than £3 in the bakery) They obviously profile our spending trends. This would mean they would know how many campbells soups and shreddies we have bought.:o

I never use my loyalty cards when using vouchers, just go to CS later and get the points added onto my card. HTH
