  • I've been trying to catch up on this thread as I haven't been couponing much this past month due to being busy with a new baby:D Thanks again to everyone who posts on here though, its saving us a fortune on our food bill. Yesterday I managed to get:
2 x Philadelphia free (will use with the woopsied 10p packs of bagels I picked up in Asda yesterday)
    6 x Campbells soup free
    2 x Honey Shreddies free
Also managed to get 4 free packets of huggies pure wipes in Asda using the £1 vouchers from the Huggies starter packs so a good days shopping all round!

I agree, no need for greed!!
Perhaps all the people who are taking 20 or 30 boxes of shreddies, cans of soup, jars of pasta sauce etc. would like to consider donating some to a food bank ??

I'm going to contribute about half of the boxes of cereal I got yesterday to the local homeless shelter as others should be able to benefit from the great offers that we get
  • I am a newbie to couponing and this thread and I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the advise and information :)
Loves a bargain and a , even better if :beer:is the bargain:rotfl::rotfl:

Thats great, if we all donate a little, it will make a BIG difference to those less fortunate !!!!

Has anyone used the same code more than once? I've got 3 cartons on my desk and I am convinced I used a code for the second time yesterday but the sytem seemed to take it and gove me a 50p MOC ???

Also I noticed that there is no info on the cartons about recycling the cartons. Some packaging now says if its recylable

  • Problems seem to be developing in lots of supermarkets re using too many coupons in one go.

Went to asda, had 2 huggies starter kit coupons, SA noticed they go through at £5 a coupons (the nappies are £3) so altered and changed the coupon value to £3, then noticed that it says one per person. She called a supervisor who told her to let both through. 2 supervisors in the end stood and watched.

Then to sainsburys - got 6 cranberry, 8 soup and some this water along with other bits of shopping. He scanned the shopping and was a really polite SA. H then apologised to me when when I gave him the coupons. He said Sainsburys new coupon policy is to only allow 2 coupons off identical products. He called a manager over who confirmed this is the new policy due to coupon abuse when some people have come in and bought huge amounts of stuff and paid with coupons. When he went the SA said as I have 2 different soups he will take 4 coupons, the same with this water.

So it looks like supermarkets are fighting back against couponners who use too many identical coupons in one go.

Best to do lots of smaller shops and stay under the radar of each store. That way you still get what you want without any hassle (hopefully).

  • Just been to tesco, to start on my Christmas shopping as I noticed there was so many instore bargains on this board last night
Took along a few coupons, Manufacturers ones (unilever, gillette)
Cashier in Mr T Newport, eyed them suspiciously, ran all my shopping through then refused to take my coupons as they were 'off the internet' she wouldn't even look at them, just got another member of staff, who said no, again no even looking.
Said they will only take till printed or clubcard vouchers
Whatever I said feel on deaf ears
Nothing instore or on their website to say this, am so annoyed.
What happens with the online reciept checker, thats a print out of the difference if Asda are cheaper, can they refuse that too?
