Also having problems in our Sainsburys. In our store a vast number of staff have left or are leaving to go off to uni. These were the ones that were SS trained and could manually put in MOCs or just used to computers, less scared of technology and generally more willing to get on with scanning shopping and accepting MOCs etc. The ones left are generally not and also they are under a lot more pressure as the store is trying to cope with a sudden drop in staff. I imagine this is happening in many stores.

If you have the time and the patience its far better to get some cash from the machine before you go into store and do lots of very small shops at the SS tills eg one can of soup plus another item of shopping, MOC for soup will scan no problem, pay in cash. The do this again.

Our SS tills will only accept 1 MOC per shop so I am going to put all of my ocena sprays through one at a time

3 ocean spray coupons not accepted at self scan in Sains last night, SA tried manually but still wouldn't accept

    Trying a different branch tonight

It might be worth putting a message on the Ocena Spray wall so they know which stores are being difficult

  • Problems seem to be developing in lots of supermarkets re using too many coupons in one go.

Went to asda, had 2 huggies starter kit coupons, SA noticed they go through at £5 a coupons (the nappies are £3) so altered and changed the coupon value to £3, then noticed that it says one per person. She called a supervisor who told her to let both through. 2 supervisors in the end stood and watched.

I bet you any money A's still claim a fiver from Huggies though.

    Just a little heads up . . .

The Co-op has put Clover on a Bogof offer at £2.25

The coupon is on the first page, post 2 and is valid until 24/9

It will make a nice alternative to the Utterly Butterly. :):):)

  • Thanks to the three 3 people I've received pan coupons from. Nikilala and Celebrate are two but the 3rd person never put their name in the envelope.

i have no idea how ppl are managing to use both coupons on the sacla sauce one is clearly for the sauce and the other is for the rissoto surely this would be classed as miss-use if u havnt bought the risotto sauce then why use the rissoto coupon??

There seem to be 3 Sacla coupons:

    50p off any sauce
    £1 of any sauce
    50p off risotto sauce.

    HTH:)

  • Does anyone know what Mr A's coupon policy states? I sent an email last week, asking for a store specific one, and I am yet to hear a thing.
  • Another newbie on this thread (despite my username) - thanks for everyone who contributes. I will attempt my first 'proper' coupon shop tonight for soup, shreddies, magnums and bic soleil :).
I'm very excited! (trying to keep the chat to a minimum)
