Evening everyone. Not been on for a long time but had a question. DH went to Ms this evening with a few coupons. I wanted to get the persil washing up liquid deal before it ends tomorrow but I was busy. Anyway I wanted the Aunt Bessie's gravy 2 for £1 so gave him 2 coupons but they wouldn't scan or work when typed in. I went to Ms yesterday and used one for the mini yorkshires and went through fine.
I'm just wondering if I should go back to Ms and ask if I can get a refund and try again. It seems a bit odd as I've used the exact same coupon yesterday.
Also, I've had the same problem with Sainsbugs. I wanted the Lenor offer but the SA couldn't scan the second coupon. She did try several times though but the till told her only one per transaction but she suggested going to CS. Went to CS and got the trout and she said as the coupon said 'one per purchase' this meant one per shop and not one per item. She didn't mention anything about no more than one of each type of coupon.TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -

I've had a few hiccups in Mr S trying to use multiple coupons, but I usually stand my ground with the SA, who are sometimes very quick to call 'The Supervisor'. I'm always polite but gently persuade them to keep trying and they usually end up putting them through manually when it won't go through. I've even had to check out and pay for items individually, which I'm happy to do if they really insist, but I don't do it if it's a BOGOF offer and I've got 2 coupons, which I normally do!! If that's the case, I'll just leave the item and try again another day, hopefully, with a more understanding SA. I really don't know why these coupons are such a big deal for them. They're not new, but you'd think they'd just been invented as they seem to get into a flurry at the sight of more than one coupons.
Having said that, some of the SAs are very obliging. I was at Mr S this very evening with 9 coupons. I went through the self checkout and a few scanned, but the others wouldn't go through because I had multiples. Thankfully the young SA just put them through manually, so it really depends who you get.Virgin CC £1,738.84 Barclays O/D £32,012.24
Total debt £33,751.08 as at 2.1.13

My problem wasn't with the SA really, but with the Supervisor who wouldn't take more than one of the same coupon per trasnaction, stating they've been having problems with them.
Its the lenor offer thats really bugged me, because the SA had crossed through the first coupon handed to her, so I couldn't get it back, so had to pay £2 for 2 bottles, which whilst good isn't the deal I wanted. I must say this whole thing has left me feeling more than miffed with Sainsbury's.:mad:0 -

Excellent, what MOCs did you use?
I went to Tesco today and got two till spits £3 wys £30, no idea what to use them on as I used a lot of mine up today.
I had a JTD voucher for £8 odd and a Sainsburys tills spit £2 wys £20 so I topped up my shopping with cat food to get it to the £20 odd mark. I got Saclas for £1.49, four of these and used the £1 print offs, This water £1.35 print offs and 2 lots of Perle de lait (I had the £1 MOCs from the frubes tubes) Final totla was less than £1 but I cant do this two weeks in a row
I got several till spits including a MOC for any Iams, so I can use this for a small bag and another Ariel stain remover £2 MOC, always seem to get this. Now I've got the other laptop I will have to have a look at the shopping master list to see if there are any savyme MOCs for Tesco I can print off again
I've noticed the savyme MOCs have quite long dates on them. Do people print everything off and then just hang onto these until the price is right in Tesco or Sainsburys?
I got;
2 x Philadelphia @ £1.34 ea
- Deal 2 for £2
- £1 off coupon
2 x Oxo @ £1.07 ea
- Deal BOGOF
- £1 off coupon
2 x Domestos @ £1.99 ea
- Deal BOGOF
- £1 off coupon
2 x Ariel Stain Remover @ £4.55 ea
- Deal BOGOF
- 2 x £1 off coupons
2 x Dettol Antibacterial Spray @ £2.20 ea (tesco online quotes £2.02)
- Deal BOGOF
- 2 x 50p off coupons
4 x Febreze @ £3.00 ea
- Deal BOGOF
- 2 x £2 off coupons
And some other bits and pieces, also accidently scanned the Gillette Venus £1 off voucher at the self service and CS came over and authorised it hehe.

i have managed to get 2 of these, one in my name, one in hubbys name, delivered to the same address (different emails) - and spent them on fri night @mr T's as their moisturiser is half price - so spent 91p x 2 for 2 moisturisers for him
the cheapest one was £2.71 - so making it 71p each - think it was the sensitive one0 -
I wasn't normally a coupon person, apart form hammering Debenhams and Currys last Xmas, but this last month have saved a fortune thanks to you lot.
Just had my best ever day and for me it's massive - probably below average for some of you though.
Had to pop out tonight, so added to todays haul.
Got some Surf "Small and Mighty" (18 washes) for £1 per bottle using coupon - got 2.
On the way home, went to Morries and got 2 more (free) Grot Busters and also some CIF wipes for 2p and some CIF Floor Cleaner for 14p.
"Over the Moon" and stocked up on some great products, very cheaply.
Haul:
1 x Dove Conditioner and 1 x Shampoo from Superdrug - 49p
2 x Dove Conditioner and 2 x Shampoos from Boots - £1.28
4 x Magnums from Morries 96p
2 x Surf "Small and Mighty" from Asda - £2
1 x CIF Wipes from Morries - 2p
1 x CIF Floor Cleaner from Morries - 14p
2 x Domestos Grot Buster from Morries - free
So only £4.89 for all that, very, very pleased and very, very grateful for this thread.
No shopping what-so-ever tomorrow and time to chill now with a nice drink.
Sorry to see one or two having problems with some stores - best of luck with future couponing.
Well done to the "Big Hitters".
Lynsey
hi
just wanted to know if you used the vouchers for the unilever facebook to get all those products? if so how did you get all of them, specifically the magnum ones ?0 -
I wetn to my unilever VIP account and it says I have downloaded all of my MOCs :eek:I have'nt. I've emailed them, dont know how long it takes to reply.
In the meantime what can I try doing?
If I access the account via the laptop will I be able to download them?
Or do I need another facebook account, does this still work?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
