Candy, I personally think your BIL is a bit immature and there was no need to let everyone know on facebook he was hacked off by being woken up by a text at 9am. He could easily have went back to sleep. Not like you turned up chapping at his door![/COLOR]

Hi, thanks for the reply - going to get this off my chest.....the whole situation went as follows...

No reply from my Brother, bearing in mind that BIL is 11 years older than me....even typing this, I have started to cry.....I just feel really hurt that BIL could treat me like this after 19 years!

Oh Candy - don't be upset!
    Hugs for you......

The workmen came, the office/guest room is finished and looks ok even if I say so myself, just waiting for the blind to be fitted now.
BUT, the floor fitter for downstairs (who was very nice) has only done about half the floor (all the fiddly bits) and is coming back to finish it tomorrow. Another day in a total mess ...... getting a bit fed up of the clutter now.

Ran out of steam completely at about 6.30 and just had a bath and watched Made in Dagenham - its quite good and was free from the Lovefilm trial.;)
Bracing myself for one more day of disruption, roll on tomorrow evening and tidiness!

    Morning Gang

Hello to all – been awake since 4:30 mulling events around my head! No response from either brother or brother in law, so have sent this email….

I can’t believe it has come to this and we have all fallen out after I sent a text message at 9AM. So we can all move on, I think its best that you come off my facebook so you and BIL can get on with your own lives.

I feel a bit let down and extremely hurt that BIL is willing to throw away 19 years of friendship over something as silly as a text message. This all started because instead of having his phone on silent when he is asleep or texting back, BIL decided to post on an open forum a insulting rant on how I woke him up. When I read this, it felt as though he had kicked me and out of shock I felt I had to go on the defence. I have been talked about on FB in the past and found it quite hurtful as the person didn’t know me and I have always considered BIL to be another Brother. How stupid am I?

Since Friday night, I have been upset that BIL could act so childish, and this comment on your facebook status was unnecessary:
    And this comment
TO NON-PET OWNERS who visit our homes. Don't complain about our pets. (1) They live here, you don't. (2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'Fur'-niture. (3) Chances are, I love my pets more then I like you. (4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are family who are furry, walk on all fours & don't talk back. ♥ Re-post if you love your pets,or even someone elses x
I agree, chances are that you do love your pets more than you like me (as I am not really a fan of ‘the girls’.

No doubt comments will be made on facebook the fact that I have had to resort to sending you an email, but as I have had no other contact with you.

Anyhow, its not like I wont see you around – weddings, funerals, and exchanging Christmas cards. Just remember, you have a Nan who is getting on a bit and isn’t going to be around forever and a brother who you have decided to disown (who is actually a decent human being).

One of the proudest moments in my life was when you and BIL were able to marry, and I feel privileged that you allowed me to be present.

The final bit of information that I wanted to pass on to you (that I have been carrying around all these years) is that the weekend before he died, Dad said that the next time that he saw you, he would be in a wooden box – he must have known!

While we are on the subject of Dad, I know that at the time you were angry that we didn’t keep him alive until you were able to get to him – what I want to tell you is that he had already died and sure he might have been bought back to life, but 1) he would have hated being trapped in a body which wasn’t fully working and 2) I very much doubt that you would have moved back to help care for him…..no, you would come back once every 3 months, acted like Florence Nightingale, no doubt criticised everything we were doing and then go back to your own life.

Anyhow, that’s about all I have to say to you, I refuse to be upset any more. If you give me plenty of notice of when you are coming down, I will make alternative arrangements.

Doubt I will get any form of response to this, but TBH if BIL is not willing to accept that he has done something wrong, then do I want him as a member of my family?

    Today I have/will do:
    • Meals from stores
    • Emailed brother
    • LSD – might go to the gym later
    • Do my nails – file and buff to within an inch of their life….didn’t do this yesterday
    • Read newspapers online
    • Watched a couple of things on the sky box
    • Checked online banking – no change
    • Have an afternoon nap as was awake stupidly early
    • Do online comps
    • Done a couple of surveys
    • Drink plenty of water
    • Take meds to sort out hormones
    • Put washing on at 30 degrees
    • Need to catch up with the thread from this week as been really busy

Think that is about it – I am sure there will be things I have forgotten.

    Have a fabby one!

    I will also:
    • [STRIKE] hang HC on airer as a bit dull and dreary outside[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE] finish cross stitch card for friend[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE] prepare DGS4's quilt for stitching[/STRIKE]
    • make 2 corset patterns
    • make beetroot chutney as I was too tired the other evening
    • [STRIKE] do loads of housework - saves me hunting for a cleaner which I'm feeling inclined to do at the moment[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE] all meals from stores[/STRIKE] that didn't happen!!
    • [STRIKE]have an enforced NSD [/STRIKE] nor did that!!
I did have to go into town in the end so have gone £35 deeper into my OD. I decided to use the Park & Ride and the ticket machine on the bus on the way in wasn't working. The driver said I'd need to pay on the return journey. I timed it just right as it was the same bus on the way back so still didn't need to pay - £2.50 saved :j

    Okay, today's list then:
    • WM running on Economy 7
    • will hang on airer indoors - haven't used the TD in almost 18 months now :A
    • fed and watered chickens and will clean them out in a while
    • drive up to Didcot to see DS2 and collect DGS to take back to his mother - use DH's diesel
    • DS2 to cook us dinner, well, he'll provide the food and I'll probably cook ;)
    • drop donated furniture off at a friend's new house on the way saving an extra journey
    • NOT stop at the KFC on the way back!!!!!
I'm hoping we can do one of my 101 things today, but it really depends on DS2's finances and what the weather will be doing.

    catch up tonight, stitchy x

  • Morning  boo hoo I am sitting here drinking my morning coffee before I get myself together & go to work :( am a bit fed up with myself as yesterday I cba'd at work so got nothing of any real consequence done :o feels like stealing! Anyway today I promise myself to get 2 of the things I need to get done while I am there...

Had a result yesterday as I logged onto hotmail & had an email saying I had £20 off of a £40 shop at Mr T but it had to be used yesterday so I did an online shop - I had done our 2 week meal plan the night before (ooooo the excitement on a friday night, I hear you shout! :p), so I did 75% of our shopping for 2 weeks for £41 for 5 ppl - 3 adults & 2 children :j gets delivered today...

    Today:
    • brekkie, lunch & dinner from stores
    • work hard
    • go to lidl to get the last shopping bits
    • go visit mil - take her cereal I bought ages ago - £5 to moi ;)
    • go for a walk
    • possibly go to the broadstairs folk festival & meet up with a friend (need to negotiate this with oh as he will have to stay with students :p) - if I go spend no more than £6 on drinks
    • get oh to put the last of the washing on this line - its been a real assault on the ountain of washing for about a week.
    • take photos of our corner sofa to list on ebay - eek we're going to need to flog loads of our stuff for the move!
    • write to virgin requesting details of ppi payments
    • read 1884 - I fell asleep last night! :o
ok peeps happy sunday to you all, I hope it is sunny & happy in your world x

    Hi gang

    Happy Sunday my lovelies. :)

    Today:
    • Knitting a dishwashing scrubby thing - heard they last longer than throwaway scourers
    • Knit a nice face cloth - hopefully so I can stop buying throwaway cotton pads... not sure if it will work as I use an oil-based cleanser - don't want to have to put the face cloth in the WM every day but don't think rinsing it will be enough....Hmmm, we'll see...
    • Walking in the sunshine
    • Going over to inlaws for tea and to see their new puppy :j
    • MIL asked if she can wash our towels and sheets for us as she knows we've got nowhere to hang them out :T :D
    • Raid OH's pockets for coppers and any other small coins he won't notice ;)
    • Continue with the mammoth tidy up
    • Get stuff ready for work tomorrow
    • Batch cooking!!! Must do this.
