Candy-hope you get things sorted wiyh your BIL

back from Sainsbo's managed to stay within my budget :T - trying to do the GC this month in the hope that it will keep me on the straight and narrow.

However did buy 2 dinner sets reduced from £25 to £10, I do desperately need them and did use some points towards them, so that's ok isn't it?

    I've also:
    • Put the groceries away
    • ironed yesterday's washing and put it all away
    • stripped the girls beds and they are in the machine- will line dry when finished.
Off to mop the floors now there's no-one in just now so might as well make the most of it.

Hi, not too sure whether things will ever be sorted with BIL - our birthdays are on the same date, so I think we are too late - we are both Cancer, so have a tough shell, but I liked to think that we both knew enough about each other to penetrate the shell!!!

In a nutshell, this is what happened (the message I sent to my Brother.....Ok, just want to clear something up..

The way I saw yesterday’s events were as follows……
    - I send you a text message (- at 9am!!!)
    - Rather than sending me a text back, you decide to post on FB a rant of how I woke you up
    - I get hurt by your message, and react by being a bit sarcastic
    - I think about it a bit more, and end up deleting you (so you can’t hurt me any more)
    - There is some pathetic slanging match between us on FB
    - How would you react if at the time, I sent you a message asking if I could come up and stay for a while? (The obvious answer at the moment is, that isn’t going to happen)

So this doesn’t happen to other friends of yours, you could always….
    1) post your schedule on FB each week
    2) put your phone on silent when you are asleep
    3) think of how your words affect others around you!
But of course, I am sure that you wouldn’t react this way to your friends

Just wanted to put my side across

Re the dinner services - of course it is always good to buy them, and even better that you used your reward points

    Morning all,

It seems so strange me posting in the morning now! I am pleased to say that I finally have had a Friday night & Saturday to myself in which to catch up on some much needed sleep, as well as motivate me to clean up this messy house!

Candy - Forgive me for being blunt here but this seems such a silly thing to fall out over! I understand he hurt you & you never meant to wake him up, but perhaps the best thing to do is to say you're sorry for waking him up (& explain you didn't mean to without going into too much detail), & then apologise for the FB deletion & the things you said, no need to go into reasons just apologise. If he has any sense, he will do the same & apologise for hurting you too, I really hope you can sort things out.
Ixia - Thanks for starting us off, & nice work on the dinner sets, sounds very MSE!
Stitchy - Sorry your OH is being a tad simple today! Hope you get a lot of stitching done :)
DNMS - Wow I commend you! My experience of bosses would mean that they get the "bosses perk" of not covering things like that...well done, shame about the lack of overtime though. I'm going to a BBQ later too so fingers crossed the weather is at least dry for us both!
La Escocesa - Wow wish I could do overtime at that rate! Good luck with it, just think of the debtbusting you can do with it :D

Good luck Candy, sometimes you just have to be the bigger person & initiate that much needed talk after the anger & hurt has faded a little xx

How did you get on Candy?

went to visit MIL this afternoon she's recently widowed and doen't have a clue about finances as my FIl dealt with everything. However I have sorted everything out for her and she is managing quite well.

She needs a new roof shared with her neighbours and she has no money it will cost her £2500- she can't get a loan so I was sayng we will start a pot for it. Got her to look out her old gold to make a start and she was delighted she got £1000 for it!!!!! couldn't believe it :T

    Hi all,

Candy, I personally think your BIL is a bit immature and there was no need to let everyone know on facebook he was hacked off by being woken up by a text at 9am. He could easily have went back to sleep. Not like you turned up chapping at his door!

Anyway hope you guys work it out

    My dfw things for 6/8
    • Two lots of washing done at 30deg and hung indoors
    • Hoovering done

    • Got bid on Ebay item
    • Sorted through some receipts against bank/cc statements :T
    • Put away clothes lying about
    • Organised my purse – getting rid of receipts
    • Tidied my paperwork slightly ;)

    Hi everyone

I decided not to go out tonight - was only to a house party so wouldn't have cost much, but guess this way I don't need to spend anything :T Also a bit exhausted after work so I don't know how much I can be bothered with chit chat :o Bit zombied out on my sofa tbh :rotfl:

Need to tidy round (although OH did most of it today) but just cba...
OH bought me a bath bomb earlier so might just chill in the bath with a glass of vino and a book :happylove

Good luck for your exam results OrangeFairy :D
