    Thanks again. :)

So, I took them to the hotel, where we had managed to get them a very nice upgrade, and went back for my rather drunken OH and my children, and off home we went. In the door about fifteen minutes and my other sister phoned, there was water pouring through the ceilings of my sister's two downstairs neighbours, and they thought it was coming from her place!!!! Panice set in, as I had dropped off her bouquets and two table decorations, which she is taking today to put on her MIL and our grandmother's graves, and had put the bouquets in the bathroom sink and filled it with cold water. I started to second guess myself and thought that I must have left the tap running  So we met there, and luckily for me, unluckily for my poor sister, itwas pouring through her kitchen ceiling from the people up above/ So, she now has no ceiling in the kitchen, ruined units, tv, kettle, toaster etc etc. As my cousin said, if it wasn't for bad luck, my sister would have none. :( I had to tell her before I went to collect them this morning, as I wanted to try and talk her into staying put, but she was having none of it, and surprisingly has taken it quite well.

At least it never happened the night before

So, thank you all for the good wishes about it all, your friendship and support has really helped, and it has been great to see so many good wishes for my sister and her husband. She said this morning that the day had been perfect, and there was nothing which happened that made her think "I wish we had done this, or that" which is all I wanted for them; that they had a beautiful happy day which reflected what they mean to one another. :) Anyone who's not on FB and would like a wee peek, pm me and if you would like to see a few pics, I will email you a couple, obviously its too public on here ;)

Love to you all from a happy but exhausted JackieG xxx

and just for the final word on the wedding, the poem as promised.

If in the morning when you wake,
If the sun does not appear,
    I will be here.
If in the dark we lose sight of love,
Hold my hand and have no fear,
    I will be here.

    I will be here,
When you feel like being quiet,
When you need to speak your mind I will listen.
Through the winning, losing, and trying we'll be together,
    And I will be here.
If in the morning when you wake,
    If the future is unclear,
    I will be here.
As sure as seasons were made for change,
Our lifetimes were made for years,
    I will be here.

    I will be here,
And you can cry on my shoulder,
When the mirror tells us we're older.
I will hold you, to watch you grow in beauty,
And tell you all the things you are to me.
We'll be together and I will be here.
I will be true to the promises I've made,
To you and to the one who gave you to me.
    I will be here.

Beautiful pictures and the poem bought a tear to my eye too.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Evening all,
I went out last night and got wrecked, i don't remember the end of the night but OH wasn't pleased with me this morning.....so i'm off the booze for a couple of months!

Went into town with a friend and got 2 pairs of shoes in primark. Also went to morrisons and got some bits. I think we should be okay for the rest of the month in terms of food now! Going to eat out the fridge and freezer and see how we get on.

Cleaned the house and washed bedding, settling down infront of the telly now with chocolate milk and garlic bread! (my hangover cure :) )

    Hi all,

Unexpected visitors blitzed all my plans for the last couple of days. but it was worth it - lovely people.
JackieG. Loved your description of the wedding. It almost felt like being there. The reading was perfect - very emotive.

Mollie and Lou; hope you are both feeling a tad better having read all the supportive messages on here. People really do care.

Have got very behind and my to-do list would fill several volumes. Also have to provide tea - thankfully just a drink and cake - for 100+ (don't ask!) in a couple of weeks. Meant to start on the cake making this weekend, but not a snowball's chance in hell of doing that now.
Would like to sit down with the paper but the ironing board beckons me, as ever.
Have a good rest of the weekend everyone.
